Wow, seriously, I know you are all fans of Kaleta but what's fair is fair; that was a dirty hit, period. |

Thats not the point, it was a bad hit. But Richards acted like he broke something, and was fine 5 minutes later.....how does this not bother anyone. I love soccer, still play, and absolutely hate how acting has become an art in the sport. Never thought hockey players would actually do this. - SoCalSabres
Its been going on for the last couple of years in this league. Its a joke |

kaleta will never be liked in this leagues eyes......just look at matt cooke, dude spends the last 3 seasons playing clean, yet he will always be remembered as a scum because millionaire athletes dont like to be hit. - joshs

For the fifth time, I said it was fair. My original post was that I had a problem with how Richards acted. Go back and read. |

in case of a severe injury you are suppose to sit in a "quiet room" for an alotted amount of time with no signs or symptoms.
richards went in the back and didnt even have time to take a leak and was back out on the ice. dude spent more time rolling around on the ice grabbing his body parts in alphabetical order then he did getting looked at by the physicians. - joshs
You get sent to the quiet room for potential brain injuries. Not every time you go down in pain. Have you never smashed your knee on a table (or something similar) but been ok a few minutes later? |

I just rewatched the hit. Kaleta did not even make an attempt to try to skate and catch up to Richards (i.e. he KNEW what he was going to do to him).
The comments about Richards' antics are so offbase. "gloves 10ft in either direction"...haha, one of his gloves was literally TOUCHING his hockey pants. "grabbing different parts of his arm/shoulder/etc"...yeah, it's because his SPINE was crumpled.
I have never really paid much attention before but you Buffalo fans are quite the bunch.
Here's a quote for you "if it waddles and it quacks....it's probably a duck".
Get over it, he's not even a good player and he cost you the game. |

LOL, had them, sat out longer than 5 minutes. Stop making excuses for him, I'm not for Kaleta. - SoCalSabres
No excuses, nobody knows how hurt he was, at that very moment.

Probably deserved, but still have a problem with Richards soccer antics. - SoCalSabres
Agreed. Only like this ruling because I hate Kaleta and know he has bad intentions, but if it was a player with a good rep, I'd say that sell job was epic. |

im not a fan of kaleta, i think he deserves what he got, it was a dirty hit... i just had a problem with richards emphatically getting undressed out of his equipment to show how dirty the play was, and then jumping back on the ice 2 seconds later like nothing happened |

Funny I didnt know you knew him personally? Because then you would know how he spends countless hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars he helps raise for his charities that he is involved with - Stripes77
They all do, their coaches and agents TELL THEM TO. Your point has no bearing whatsoever. |

yup, but it seems as though he's tried to clean up his game this year...until last night - Whatnot78
I could go back and watch it, but it's not really worth it. I'm not going to comment on it, but from what I heard, he really only nudged him. That being said, Richards didn't know it was coming and where he was standing put him in a vulnerable position. It's a play that I would prefer Kaleta to not make. But, it happens. If it was Crosby that did it to Richards, he would have gotten 1 game, if that. But because Kaleta has a reputation, he got more. It is what it is. The team will have to survive without him for the next 5 games.
I do like the game that Kaleta has played this year. He just needs to be a bit more careful. I don't know if he got carried away or anything but I would hope that he learned from this not to do something like that again. |

The league can eat a d-i-c-k. He should've gotten 1 game. Two at most. Richards is a great actress. - Gmcc24
Regardless of the outcome, or whether Richards sold it, it was a dangerous hit. Kaleta has a history of being a dangerous player. What's the issue here? |

Did you ever hear of a stinger?
He probably went numb and panicked because of it.
Let's see anyone criticizing Richards get face planted into boards or a glass partition. - MidnightMarauder
if i criticize him for being very mediocre do i get millions to be terrible at my job? |

I have always seen hockey players as one of the tougher athletes in sports, last night I was embarrassed as a hockey fan, regardless of the teams. It reminded me of the Brazilian womens soccer player.
