I was thinking 3 then realizing that the 4th game would be against the Rangers I thought 4 to avoid the "brawl that would come" but the NHL went 5 so they can say they didnt suspend him just to avoid the "brawl". Whatever the league has no set standards in the department its a total joke.

However Richards soccer antics got even worse when at one point he was sucking his thumb

C'mon, hockey players have been diving and embellishing for years, look at the Canucks!

Unfortunately it's part of the sport. I didn't see the hit yesterday, so I can't really comment on it. But at this point, the damage has been done, the suspension has been handed out. It's time to just let it go and move on.

Come on now. You know you can get hurt and be in immense physical pain, but not have an injury right? It probably hurt like hell going face first awkwardly into the boards, but that doesn't mean he had to sit out for the rest of the game.

Thats not the point, it was a bad hit. But Richards acted like he broke something, and was fine 5 minutes later.....how does this not bother anyone. I love soccer, still play, and absolutely hate how acting has become an art in the sport. Never thought hockey players would actually do this.

Funny I didnt know you knew him personally? Because then you would know how he spends countless hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars he helps raise for his charities that he is involved with

yes because when that happens the physics of this universe disperse hockey glvoes in all direcitons... im not saying the play was at all clean or kaleta should get suspended but honestly my thought process when i saw the play was "o poop hes hurt... ok why chuck your gloves away... whats actually hurt on him?"

Let's see anyone criticizing Richards get face planted into boards or a glass partition.

in case of a severe injury you are suppose to sit in a "quiet room" for an alotted amount of time with no signs or symptoms.

richards went in the back and didnt even have time to take a leak and was back out on the ice. dude spent more time rolling around on the ice grabbing his body parts in alphabetical order then he did getting looked at by the physicians.

I didn't see it, but the way I look at it is that he plays with an edge. Sometimes when players play like that the line gets crossed. He's going to serve his punishment and it doesn't seem that Richards is really any worse for wear. So it's time everyone just lets it go an moves on.

ive broken multiple bones and never had the urge to chuck what i was holding up into the air...

The league can eat a d-i-c-k. He should've gotten 1 game. Two at most. Richards is a great actress.

kaleta will never be liked in this leagues eyes......just look at matt cooke, dude spends the last 3 seasons playing clean, yet he will always be remembered as a scum because millionaire athletes dont like to be hit.
