No, Richards cost them the game by playing hockey, how dare he play the puck, this is blood sport
No Sabres fan has explained how going head first into the boards feels good - HankdaTank
I dunno why you keep pretending like sabres fans are one person. Several sabres fans have openly disagreed with your broad generealized statements. Is that not enough? |

At first I though you were joking. Not that I condone any trolling, but It is ok for you to come into the Buffalo Thread and do it last night, yet they come in here and you cry wolf? Cant have it both ways bud.
I am in here because I like talking about the previous game with other teams fans, get their perspective. If you dont like that I am sorry, but you are just going to haev to deal with it. - ImThatGuy

I don't know why we're entertaining these trolls, just ignore'em, they intelligence just exudes from their defense of Kaleta - HankdaTank
Obviosly if someone calls it a clean body check they are a troll. Obviosly if someone is calling for a suspension of more then 2 games they are a rangers fan. |

Nothing like a city where you can see someone pushed in front of an oncoming subway train and noone does nothing to help the guy....yup, great morals. - Dwight K. Schrute
What? An entire City pushed someone on the tracks? That's one big subway platform |

if the penalty on Kaleta was a 2 minute minor, didn't the Rag$ still score 2 goals quickly on the 5 on 3, so the major wouldn't have mattered? - jambodelta99
They got momentum from the 5 on 3. |

I think almost every fan of every other team other than Sabres fans are saying it should be a suspension |

Seriously getting old now, only Sabres fans have called it clean, so I think we may have some sort of backing on this one |

if it was only a 2 minute minor on Kaleta, it still would have been a 5 on 3 right?
are you saying the hit by Kaleta on Richards shouldn't have even been a minor? |

It was not clean, It was dirty. He will get suspended. 3 games or 10, it could go either way. You just dont know with the Shanaban wheel and what it is going to land on. |

In case you guys forgot already, this is how you felt about your team until that penatly
No faith in this team, we gave gave up too much heart this summer. The two Brandon's, Artie, Feds, Mitchell. These guys had heart if nothing else
27 shot attempts either missed or blocked. Why is it so hard to get shots on goal?
Just like the Montreal game, they let the vistor take control of the game, they have no backbone, we're losing this one just like the Montreal game, slowly with no fight, fuk them.
I have to agree. People can defend that chump Torts all they want, but this is on him. I'm starting to hate this guy. He's the new Rex Ryan.
I'm done flip flopping, they suck, no real contender plays this poorly or fails to show up this much, just fire Torts and get hitherto inevitable over with, I wish this season never happened, how can anyone sit through this without tearing their hair out. - sbroads24
There are a select 3-4 people that always react that way after anything negative mid-game. Even if we were the Hawks they'd say that kidna stuff. Just in game emotion and reaction. Relax. |

well it will be under 5 because it's a phone hearing.
I think the league would be best served by giving him 4 games, so he doesn't play next game vs Rag$, and let this thing quiet down. |

I am am a BI Racial american. I have been to both places for business many times. The people in Buffalo are generally much friendlier, polite and nicer then people in NYC. Buffalo is also a very diverse city. To refer to the blog as a KKK meeting, is very offensive to me. It is not funny. And their is no place for comments like that at Hockey Buzz. |

Why is this thread about Richards' reaction rather than a discussion regarding carelessness and a lack of respect? - dawgzhouse
Why should we care, if the NHL does not. If they really wanted to eliminate those types of hits there would be a real penalty.
If the cost of taking out a 1st line player by a 4th line player is 1,2 or 3 games thats a small penalty for weakening a team in the short and long term.
If the NHL wanted to be serious, the penalty would be 10 games minimum for 1st timers and increase form there, no matter the intent or injury inflicted. 3 strikes and your out of the rest of the year.
That being said Richards should not have gone back on the ice last night. If he is as injured as they say he is, the trainers and coaches should be fined as well. If Torts thought that was the worst hit hes ever seen, how could he allow him to return in good conscience? That guy should get 5 games for being a hyporite. |

The NHL secretly likes things like this, I have no reason not to believe that. He will serve 3 so his first game back is against the Rags. Cant write a better script.
People will tune in to see if anything happens. |
