UB is one hell of a school. They are trying to make it one of the if not the biggest campus in the US by 2020

i think the difference between the hits is that richards was 5 feet away from the boards and cross checked up high so his head is pivoted into the boards as the main source of contact. with ennis, he was closer to the boards and got hit hard into it more than get his neck crushed.

as far as the dirtiest hit of all time comment...are you seriously taking that literally? torts was emotional and could only go on what he saw live in the game.

It wasn't just him. They female doged about it for like an hour after the game last night. It was a dumb move by kaleta but it was a tap. A stupid dangerous tap, but a tap. Acting like its anything but a potentially dangerous hit that happens dozens of times a year is silly, in my opinion.

Kaleta should and will get suspended but it shouldn't be viewed way worse than any potentially dangerous boarding type hit.

Thats the only problem with UB. It goes into some pretty rough areas. They are trying to clean all that up with this UB 2020 act.

agreed. i think why people are calling for kaleta to get suspended double digit games is because 1) we're rangers fans so we got blinders on 2) the whole NHL hates kaleta with a burning passion and wants to see the tool finally get the suspension he deserves 3) people are getting pissed off at shanny for handing out soft suspensions to repeat offenders and want kaleta to be made an example of.

I can only hope he hit a bad patch of ice. That was almost disastrous but I wouldn't have been surprised had the game been decided on that play given how crazy the 3rd period and OT were.
