Why is this thread about Richards' reaction rather than a discussion regarding carelessness and a lack of respect? |

The guy is my avatar and even I can't defend him. Even if Richards was faking, it's still the type of thing that needs to be removed from the game. - OnPoint
He tapped him. What people fail to realize is if Kaleta really wanted to hurt him , he could have. He tapped him, just a bad position Richards put himself in. Half of that play is on Richards for putting himself in that position.
Nothing dirty about it, nothing! |

You mean lack of respect as in Brad Richards? Having no dignity, or self respect? Soccer player |

Lindy Ruff is actually the new drug kingpin, you know cause he's technically out of a job now. - tomburton99
If the Rangers lose a couple in a row Torts might take over that role
Also don't the Rangers and Sabres play again next week? Wonder if Kaleta will be back by then, should be interesting. He's usually a solid player for us but every now and then he'll do something like this which is truly unfortunate because I don't think it's a fair representation of what he means to the team and to the fans. |

See the smiley face? That means I'm being sarcastic. There was no selling there, it was legit. These are the types of hits that leave guys paralyzed. He's lucky he didn't break his neck. I can't believe anybody could think Richards was faking. Idiots. - gravey914
I thought he made it seem as if he was more hurt than he was. I don't think he dove into the boards, or was fine and dandy. I think he saw a great opportunity for a rangers turn around and he got just that.
I'm glad he's okay and will accept kaletas suspension, but the five minutes of rolling around on the ice was a little much. |

Bingo! Because Sabres fans don't think it should be a suspension, let alone a major penalty.
In my opinion, any questionable hit like this one or hits to the head, regardless of intent, should come with suspensions. If you crack down on it, even accidental hits will disappear because players would know they need to be careful with their actions. I'm not saying take out the hitting, just take out the vicious and dangerous ones. |

Your comedic attempts are borish and tiresome. I suggest you lob a PM to crims and see if he can guide you on the proper technique to being a troll. |

I think the point is that he really didn't have to touch him at all. Richards was out of position and was unlikely to to be a threat to the ongoing play. The positioning may ultimately be why this is an over the phone hearing instead of in person. |

He definitely tapped him. And I feel like that's a place where a 'tap' shouldn't be allowed to occur. Him crashing into the boards the way he did is evidence enough of that. It should be removed from the game. Suspend him for 5 or so and let the league know. |

Certain Buffalo fans and one Devils troll wish to make it about something else to shield themselves from the truth you just spoke. |

Nope. I'm just wondering how torts can call it "the dirtiest hit he's seen" or anyone can justify the equally dangerous hit on ennis |

Being serious for a second, and putting the debate over Richards' reaction aside, those hits are the worst type of hits, IMO, because of the positioning of the player going into the boards. One of these days, somebody isn't going to get up from one of those if they don't remove that hit from the game. |
