Reports say they were supposed to fly out the previous night, then hadto wait around the airport all day not knowing what time they were going to fly out. They had no time for a practice or anything. Went straight to the rink from the airport. I know they're professionals but a day like that would really mess with things and I think it was a factor. They were still the better team for a lot of the game but clearly ran out of gas in the third.

Although I see your point...I think the Flames had a better game than they've displayed lately. I dont think either team played particularly well...but at home against a rival like the Canucks, it was a big win for the Flames.

Teams wouldn`t normally practice in that scenario anyway. I could understand if they were on a road trip, or if the flight was further. In the end these excuses are weak.

They played an emotional game less than 24 hours before that one then had to wait around at the airport all day before their next game and they still should have won. I'm not saying that's why they lost but I think it would have an effect on how you're able to play. Calgary is a disaster and I don't think anyone sees them as a threat so it's fine.

They've been without one of their best players (Kesler) for basically the whole season and are now without one of their top D-men (Bieksa). They were also missing Booth for a big chunk. Combine these injuries with the fact that they have been playing like complete garbage for a lot of nights and it's no wonder they are "only" 6 points up on Calgary.

Watched enough Nucks games to know that was not their best game. They were dead tired in the 3rd. They also almost tied it up with 30 seconds left. It was a fluke play by Bouw to have his stick in the way of an open net. He was not going for the puck he was taking out his man and it hit his stick. A rested Canucks would have beaten the flames.
