He's a punching bag but he can take a regular shift. And for a punching bag, he still hangs in most of the fights he's in, even if he taking most of the punches. - rmdevil313
Agreed. Barch over Janssen all day long. |

I remember that game when the Leafs were up 3-1 in the third and The Monster let in 3 goals in 4 minutes.. I think that how it went down
Or when Phaneuf played his first game and he fought Colin White
Leafs and Devils need to play more often. - Arctic_AARDVARK
I find the leafs very similar to carolina. Not a true rivalry, but there is definitely some dislike and intensity when they play. |

Everybody enjoying this preview of Post-Brodeur NJ? Hedberg should just sit. Let the backup play, whomever it is we have behind him. |

Its funny but we're losing because we reverted to defensive devils. We were killing it last season cause we were pinning teams in their own end. Its just hard to play that style when your confidence is shot. They'll need to find their offensive swagger if they hope to start winning again. |

I hope we can get that dman in the draft everyone is talking about
Seems like we have a pretty good chance of landing first overall |

Devils have given up 25 goals in the last 6 games he's played. Those games were a against juggernauts like NYI, Caps, Jets and Sabres. I realize there were a few empty netters but this is a sign that its a wrap on the career for moose.
If they start him tomorrow, it will serve two purposes. Stamkos nets 5 and Kinkaid will wonder exactly how little Deboer thinks of him. |

Doesn't matter we will win the lottery and Lou will give up this years first just to expedite the move to Quebec. |

Lou jumped the gun on Zajac. Not like he has been putting up big numbers the last couple of years. He is a 2nd line center without Parise carrying him. Defensively, yes he is great, but he didn't get that huge contract to put up almost a point every 4th game. Can't see him getting that contract on the open market. |

No of course not. But if you are paying someone nearly $6 million a season, they should be playing better than he is. The season Parise missed he put up 40 something points. Just pointing out he hasn't been the 60-70 point center he was with Parise. 4 points in the last 20 games is unacceptable. He is great defensively, but to be a #1 center you need to do more offensively than he has. |

He's a top six forward type of player and he was stuck playing bottom six with us. Tedenby has the same distinction. He's talented, though. Think he'll break someone's squad, why not Nashville? Their offense is shackled just like the Devils offense (which is what happens when you lose guys like Suter). At least they have Weber. We don't anyone with a slapshot unless we put Kovalchuk there. - archromat
Butler will be 26 next month.
He has been bought out once in the last 7 months, placed on waivers a total of 4 times in the last 7 months, 3 times by the Devils in the last 5 months.
Only you would think he is a top six forward type of player. |

kovy nothing
elias zilch
clarkson disappeared
henrique nope
poni well who knows
zajac hasnt brought anything offensively
its like they have no energy out there and no sense of urgency
they have no idea how to finish |
