Cost wise yeah your right. Over all play, no your wrong. - nbartley9
Ha, thats funny. |

Eaton is better? - nbartley9
Yes. I'm not a fan of pick up contracts of worthless defensemen making 4.5 million for another year. You realize he has been a healthy scratch for the Leafs this year, right? He has played in four of 22 games. That is healthy value?

He has been a healthy scratch for Toronto like 18 times this year. What does that tell you about Kommisarek?

You people seriously want to fire the coach of a team who is winning their division half way through a season? Because of who he plays/sits on the third line and third d pairing? The "fire Bylsma" bandwagon makes it embarrassing to consider myself a Penguins fan. Another first round playoff loss, ok, you have to give him a look over. But if you fire the coach of a first place team now, you'll be laughed at throughout the league. - bri29smith
This team is in first place because of their ability to score a bunch more goals than their opposition. Their style of play is not resembling anything conducive to playoff success. This team has also blown countless two goal leads this season. Sometimes they come back and win other times they don't.
I am not a passenger on the "Fire Bylsma"express just yet, but there are some reasons for concern. As stated above an inability to effectively hold a lead, defensive zone coverage that often borders on a bingo hall fire drill, and a propensity for undisciplined plays.
Bylsma did win a cup. To me, that buys you three years grace. This is year four and an early playoff exit should not go unnoticed. |

I'm sorry that hockey isn't wimpy enough to allow teams to 3-4 OT's in the regular season. |

I'm not necessarily on the fire Bylsma bandwagon quite yet. I think there are some roster moves that need to be made first. Letang needs a defensive D partner. Someone who can sit in front of the net and move bodies while Letang is down in the corner along a board battle. I'd say Despres, but he's not quite ready. |

Yeah I know, but players just dont totally lose talent. At one point this guy was an All Star, it has to be a problem with his attitude, ownership, and the coach. Maybe the guy just needs a fresh start. He is a big dude that will hit and play physical. He does make way too much money, thats for sure. |

He tried to play too physical when he came to Toronto. He was fighting quite a bit...got his bell rung, and went downhill. He was a scratch under Ron Wilson last year and a scratch under Carlysle. Besides all that, his salary is too prohibitive. The Leafs will most likely buy him out this summer unless they can find a place to move him. |

He had little talent to begin with. He's too slow to hit anyone. |

If you want to fire him for the playoff loses then do it last summer. Why would you do it mid season to a first place team?

Soooooo fire him because their winning doesn't look like it will translate to the playoffs? I agree they don't look good, but winning is winning, especially in the regular season. You can't fire the coach of a first place team because his team wins ugly. That is insane. |

Whoever the Pens pick up at the trade deadline, I'll trust that Shero will bring in the right guy. We have the best GM in the NHL. |

You mean when the All-Star game was held in Montreal and the fans stuffed the box? Then yes, he was an All-Star.

Cal O'Reilly 2.0
Yeah, you can't fault any team for giving a waiver pickup a shot, and some guys have really found a great spot after that (Craig Adams, Michael Grabner, Bryzgalov in Phoenix, etc.) |

Not big but with good skills. Seems to play a two-way game well.
How about Sill?Would like to see him on the 4th line replacing Glass just for a few games to see how he goes.
Megna's numbers:
2012-13 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins AHL 38 3 5 8
He sure is not putting up the points.. - Orpik44
He has been playing like garbage lately. At some point I see him being a healthy scratch. He did play a bit better Sat. night though. |

So Gunner, who do you think might help as a forward on that 3rd line. A banger and someone good along the boards? If so, I agree. |

How many 100% defensive defenseman make the All Star team? Stuff the box or not he got in. Would Brooks make the team if it was in the Burgh? At one point he was a good player, i refuse to believe that he has lost all his worth. |

What if Shero doesn't do anything and come up with that "we are happy with our current squad" crap? That would blow! Or, "the cost of acquisitions skyrocketed"... |
