While I agree that he has not been playing at a third line level I do think he can still help out in a 4th line capacity. - Gunner Staal
Yea that could work do we put vitale up to third line and put adams at center or just move adams up to third line. I love vitale's speed and hockey sense so he could work on the third. |

No, Adams and Vitale never go above 4th line. They aren't capable. Jefferey isnt ideal IMO to be in a 3rd line role but he is a way more appropriate option than anybody who is currently on the 4th line. |

I need the expert knowledge of some of our older posters. During the 92-93 season (I was only 10 or 11) I was not tracking ice times or matching lines etc....
Did Bowman overextend our players in an effort to maintain the winning streak? - Gunner Staal
I can't offer you "expert" knowledge or specifics. All I remember is they played every game like a playoff game. It seemed to me they approached "the streak" as an important accomplishment. They had won their 2 cups and needed something else to prove. I thought it was pretty clear they were gassed come playoff time, but I honestly believe Bowman didn't have much control over the team by that point.
The guy around here that could really provide that insight is John T..... |

Maybe they could trade jeffery for another third liner. On some teams i think he'd be a decent second liner. |

i think to avoid this, the Pens should just dump one in their own net to start the game. - PensFan1103
So, start the game with Vokoun in net ... do a Steve Smith and then pull Vokoun for Fleury when trailing 1-0? I like it.

Hey it's Ray I got a deal for you it's buy one get one free. If you give me anyone off your 3rd line I'll give you Dustin Jeffrey and I'll toss in Tyler Kennedy absolutely free.
And just for the record I am a TK supporter always have been. I have to be honest tho he has been terrible this season. Hopefully he finds his game soon he's very good when he plays the way he should. |

TK, when not scoring, should always be a player that helps on the boards and hustles/wins puck battles. He should get credit for that. I appreciate this aspect of his game. |

I dont think the Blackhawks streak is any fortelling of playoff success or failure. I would be nervous going into any 7 game series with those 2 goalies, I dont care how few shots you give up in a game. |

Other teams should be (supposedly) talking about our team goalies |

I fully expect Crawford and Emery to come back to earth at some point. Chicago is getting every bounce go its way. IIRC, eight out of the last 10 wins have come by one goal and several in the closing moments of a game. They have 14 wins by one goal already. That is alot. Sometime tells me this team will bust in the play-offs. I really wonder if Bowman is going to do something before the trade deadline. |

The only way the Blackhawks streak can be a bad thing is if Quenneville over extends his players. So far it looks like he has not in fact done so. |

Greg Zanon looked good last night. Too bad he has another year left on his deal. |

This is a guy I thought for sure Shero was going to acquire at last year's deadline.
