All of their top 10's are in relation to something that happened the night before. Go to Youtube and check out the top 10 meltdowns if you've never seen it.

Ah thx. I never realized that the top 10 never includes the moment that led to it. Either way you are a pretty special player when you have a top 10 like that. At least we know he has 11+ highlights and likely many more!

Isn't it amazing that the entire reason TSN did this top 10 video on Geno was his goal against TB the other night.... And that goal never made the top 10? Goes to show you just how good we have it as Pens fans.

On a different note... Not saying we will or that I want JJ... But I think if we do acquire him it will be Maatta going back as the main piece.

FWIW... I read an article on Tiops saying the Pens LOVE Maatta. Basically said he and Pouliot have supplanted Morrow as untouchable prospects.

TSN had this on last night.

Oh my!!! #1 is one of the few games I have missed since Geno came on board! Ohh that backhander vs the Canes. Love Malkin!! Even with all the dumb penalties.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Bottom line for me is that our significant depth of quality young D will lead to a trade... Likely starting with one this year, and we can trust that Shero a great job with the return.

This is an even better top 10. Has nothing to do with hockey but this poop is funny. I love youtube.

Hmmm, they didn't say what the lines would be after the 2 minute mark.

I like Bennett. I think he's got a great future. However I'm not sure he's the right player for the second line at this time in his career. I'll certainly be intrigued to finally see him get lots of minutes with high skilled players.

This streak of CHI is amazing, but it will undo their year....

I think the 93 penguins and the 2010 penguins will attest to big streaks not being good for a cup.

I was thinking the same thing. You end up so tired and banged up. For what?

As long as they don't have to play the ghosts of Glen Healey and Mick Vukota, they'll be fine. They aren't playing with a shortened bench and essentially 4 d-men to keep the streak alive a-la the 93 Pens. There's a reason the Pens were gassed. They focused on the streak. The Hawks are rolling 4 lines and 6 D just playing hockey.

He's a top 6 guy whether its for the Penguins or WB/S. 3rd line minutes are a waste of everybody's time.

Another Philadelphia v. Pittsburgh game. The hate is already there this morning. If we get out to a 2-0 lead, can we decline it?

i think to avoid this, the Pens should just dump one in their own net to start the game.

Hmmm what will be the over/under of the time on the clock where the Pens come out flying score and the Flyers say, ok time to pull out ol' reliable and start antagonizing and getting under the Pens skin to draw stupid penalties and turnovers? Im thinking 13 mins into the 1st period.

He's more of a facilitator it seems so I'm having trouble trying to figure out who he fits better with. Has almost the same feel as Sullivan with Geno and Neal last year. He's bigger but he's not real physical. If it doesn't work out with Geno they should try Duper with Geno and try Bennett with Crosby. Either way I'll be happy if he clicks with one of them.

If he is up with the big club and they are trying to figure out if there is a better fit with Crosby or Malkin I am fine with that. I just don't think 3rd line minutes make sense.

Just some options:

Kunitz Crosby Dupuis
Bennett Malkin Neal

Bennett Crosby Dupuis
Kunitz Malkin Neal

Kunitz Crosby Bennett
Cooke Malkin Neal (Dupuis to 3rd, I think he only fits top 6 if it is with 87)

I need the expert knowledge of some of our older posters. During the 92-93 season (I was only 10 or 11) I was not tracking ice times or matching lines etc....

Did Bowman overextend our players in an effort to maintain the winning streak?

I think Duper is the only player who hasn't been tried with Geno. He could be the puck retriever. I wouldn't want to seperate Kuni and Crosby given that Kunitz is on pace for a career year. But if it makes us better I'd be willing to go with it.

We are in the same age bracket but my father in law says that is exactly what happened. Focused on the streak and not the cup. Said it was the best team the Pens ever iced.

While I agree that he has not been playing at a third line level I do think he can still help out in a 4th line capacity.
