i think it depends on the market. regardless of the cap or not, im sure some guys are gonna get paid big time. if some team wants to give him 6 a year or something, theres no way he can justify that. but anything less than 5 and hed be a steal for any team, especially the pens. hes pretty much exactly what we need as far as a forward goes

I can't lie I have very little sympathy for Marc Staal after getting hit in the face with that shot last night. He wore a visor all through his OHL term and has now made the choice not to wear a visor. He's not a fighter he's had 4 fights in the NHL and none is 2009 so it's not a fighting thing, it's a personal choice and a risky one at that.
It is a recurring incident that is to easily prevented for me to express sympathy.
That said, I felt the same when Hall got stepped on without his visor. A smart choice would have prevented/reduced that. - Ben37

The hurricanes need to figure out some trade to get Marc on their team.
I'm hoping to see some genuine change on the bench in the Flyers game. They've had time to think about it, 2 days between games to get their minds right and hopefully some harsh words from Bylsma. If this turns into another 6-7 travesty I will find out who's responsible and probably do nothing about it.

I'm looking for discipline tomorrow. If they have learned anything from these losses that is the department where it will be apparent. Also if they stay away from the retaliation and such they should dance on the Flyers with the defense they'll be throwing out there.

At this point, we can only hope. I'm not convinced the Pens have the "mental" aspects of their game under control. I will say it appears they're getting a little annoyed with all the questions about their defense. The better energy on the back check has been noticeable the last couple of games even if their decision making isn't quite there yet.

I don't know, they played a noticably different game against Tampa in that regard. Whether or not they can carry that over to their biggest rivals house remains to be seen.
