Didn't realize this guy is a UFA at the end of the season and can't believe he hasn't got a new deal from his team, but David Clarkson would look great on a line with Malkin and Neal. He is that Kunitz type of player that Malkin's line needs. Too bad he will probably demand too much money in free agency. |

This has got Staal fears written all over it.... However Letang doesn't have a brother to run to.... Only money and maybe his homeland of Montreal... My money is on him staying. I think if he prices himself high, Shero will trade him and restock the cupboard with some more pieces. |

You can't get a true sense of how it feels until you start getting the PM's from the person you banned. Some are priceless. |

Impersonating a ref = 1 day ban or 1 day agreeing with all of nh's posts.... - nh4442
A 1 day ban is preferred to agreeing with anything Hemsky related. |

My argument against Jack Johnson comes from post that two people who are pro Johnson.
One person stated that is cheap at 4.3 for 7 more seasons. That is not cheap, that is a contract that Scott Howson handed out.
Another person stated that he is a good 2nd-3rd pairing guy.
Simply put, a team does not want to be paying a 4-6 defensemen 4.3M for 7 years. That is a contract that kills teams. |

He's seems pretty damn loyal to Lou, so I'd be surprised if he didn't stay there.
But yeah, if he tested the free agent market, he'd probably get some unrealistically high bidders, especially if he keeps scoring this season. |

But admit it, he would look good on Malkin's wing |

Clarkson is good but I still think Kunitz is the superior player. Overall skills. Agree? |

Clarkson would cost the pens something north of 5 million. Not worth it |

He's like Ryane Clowe with even more offensive upside. I'd gladly take him for 5 million. Anything more and our cap situation starts to get awkward...but there are teams who would be wise to offer him 6 million if he hits free agency. |

Pretty close. Clarkson has the age factor over Kunitz, and is bigger. They are pretty similar players. |

Clarkson is a one time 30 goal scorer.... To the Pens he is not gonna be paid more than Neal... He would never justify that contract... hes gonna want the 5-6 year deal at 5.5-6 per.... I would steer clear |

Yeah he's definitely grown a lot. I'm not sure he'll end up on the market long though. The Devils will probably look to retain him soon. He's been very good. I love his effort though. Very Kunitz like. |

You realize he put up 30 with the Devils. The Devils man, that's like 50 on the Penguins! |
