studies have been done to show that players born in the 1st quarter of the year have a much more likelihood at reaching the NHL than those born later in a calendar year

the way the writer phrased it is totally contradictory, hence my huh
Crappy about mean but holy crap on Read. He is way ahead of schedule. I wonder if its one of those he can't do any damage but just has to manage the pain things and will play through. The guy is awesome! - Hextall271
As for Meszy, Id wait to hear a formal update..
The think with costal injuries is that they are really hard to give an accurate time frame on. I have seen people injured, a week out, and barely able to talk... coughing nearly brings them to tears, only to feel 100% a week later. Really strange honestly.

Read back along with mesz ( when he's ready) will be fantastic. Read has really played well IMO, I'd love it if he's back for Thursday night so I can see a mostly full lineup!

heard read interviewed yesterday...sounds like a couple more weeks away...very wary of re-injury w/ this type of trauma
The Flyers have had the toughest schedule in the NHL to start the season, having traveled more than 50 percent of their air miles in the first 18 games of a 48-game slate.
Right? I visited his youtube page and the guy is doing that crap in 3 or 4 more videos on lakes and then a few more on "thin sea ice". I'm pretty sure he is going to "go out doing what he enjoys".
15: Points for Jake Voracek over his last eight games, tallying six goals and nine assists. He was not named an NHL Player of the Month for February, despite posting more points (21) than Steven Stamkos (20). He finished behind only Sidney Crosby (24) for the month.

The good news is that there are multiple different types of equipment/padding that he can wear to help protect against that.. If he is indeed shooting (that is the motion that would give him the greatest discomfort) that is a fantastic sign. Moderate intercostal muscle strains usually see a timeline of 3-6 weeks... primarily because, as i said, recovery times with these tend to be all over the map.
