Cal Heeter should be the backup for the Flyers. Why did they send him to Trenton?
- stveshdy

No idea. The backup goaltender for the Flyers is irrelevant, unless Bryzgalov were to get injured.

If I have to go there, I go. I'm don't worry about it. I don't bring my wife there, or any of my nieces or nephews.

The streets of Beirut are safer.

You've brought it up for discussion multiple times.

The Nashville Predators have claimed Bobby Butler off waivers from the New Jersey Devils.

There goes your idea out the window.

- stveshdy

Was talking to my Devils friend at work today, he watches every game, said Butler is a waste of oxygen. I was wrong about him apparently. He claims Butler was useless just as the Sens fan said yesterday. They would know better than me.

We have players who are luxuries such as Matt Read to use as trade bait!

you think he is just a luxury not a key player

A bigger question being why you would willingly watch a Devils game

Cause I don't feel like watching the Penguins pummel the Lightning.

I can't believe that team wins games. Unreal.

Who the Devils? Why can't you believe it? They are struggling right now. 4 losses in a row.

When you look at that team the talent doesn't seem that good to me. They have some decent players (besides Kovy) but nothing that scares you. Just don't think that team is very talented but they find a way to win games.

The sum is better than the parts for sure. DeBoer is doing a great job as much as I hate to admit it.

Wow, Hedberg just gave up about the worst goal I have ever seen.

He's been up and down in the AHL, although he's played much better of late.

They're really missing a banged up Marty and Zuby.

My heart breaks for them.

I thought the Flyers might catch a break this week, but all the injured Rangers are back as is Malkin from his concussion.

My guess: Get him playing time and get Leighton starts with the Phantoms to try and showcase him for a possible trade.

Any team could have claimed Leighton off waivers for nothing, why would anyone trade for him? I guess if a team suffered an injury it could be possible, but I don't see it.

So it looks like Garon has taken over the starting goaltender job from Lindback. TB is a mess. Boucher might be on the bread line soon.

It's not a mystery to casual posters here I personally don't like Briere but that's just a personal preference. His playoff performance of timely goals is nothing to scoff at. However there are players waiting in the wings to step in and making Danny an odd piece. So I can be on board with amnesty for him. As for bryzgalov he's the best goalie the flyers had since esche and before him hextall. There's no one in the organization or available via Free agency to replace him. If and when homer can find an upgrade then by all means unfortunately for certain delusional fans there isn't a viable replacement right now who is available.

Personally, I would go Checkmanek over Esche, buts that's me

Not at all. It was sarcasm. Others think Read is a luxury.
