Any team could have claimed Leighton off waivers for nothing, why would anyone trade for him? I guess if a team suffered an injury it could be possible, but I don't see it.

Sure, I wouldn't trade for him right now either. The point being if he gets a few solid starts under his belt for the Phantoms a team might get interested. Cant hurt to try. Not a whole lot of goalies with playoff experience are looking to be available at the deadline.

Yea well the team got one goal in 5 games or something and he finished the series with like less than a goal a game average against the sens but it was his fault they lost too

I despise both teams, and would do dirty things to keep the leafs out of the playoffs for another 10 years.

You consider read a core forward? I'd consider g,Simmonds, checky,schenn,cooter,hartnell my core. Most teams are lucky to have 3 or 4 young really good youNg core players with star potential. We have 6. If I had to trade one for cap reasons like gagne or for upgrade in goal or defense in a package deal read would be the first of that core bunch I'd trade so yeah I consider read a luxury. Do you disagree with this? Who do you consider read is more of a core player or wouLd trade before read
