What makes you think Bynum signs a "short term" deal to stay here?

I wouldn't sign him. Going to cost too much $ for a player who can't even bowl without hurting a knee let alone play basketball. Dude can't even take a jump shot or roll out of bed pain free. Be irrelevant and stink for years. Use the $ on other players and get good draft picks.

Bynum isn't going to get anything but a short term deal from a bad team. With everything you are saying about him, why would any good team tie money up in him? Even on a 1 year deal? That is a move a bad team like the Sixers do to hope they get lucky.

Bynum isn't going to get anything but a 1 year deal, and no team in the league has any better motive than the Sixers to sign him to it.

He WILL be resigned.

Why wouldn't a good team like OKC, LAC, or Miami take a chance on Bynum for short money?

Because they can attract healthy free agents. Why would they tie up money in him when they are competing for a championship? And just because it's a 1 year deal doesn't mean it's gonna be for the league minimum. Teams like Miami and OKC wouldnt even be able to afford the risk.

i'd think because even if it's short term, it will be a lot of money. real contenders won't want to run the risk of having a huge chunk of their cap tied up in a guy that may not play

I don't know about that. If Bynum has other offers with teams that offer a chance to win, not sure why he would sign with the Sixers.

So I went to the Flyers game on Saturday and STILL hear people crushing the Flyers for making the trades of Richards and Carter. There was a group of guys sitting behind me and they were bashing the trade and I turned around and asked them.. Would you trade Schenn and Simmonds for Richards right now? They said no. I said would you trade Couturier and Voracek for Carter right now? They said no. I shook my head.

Will that ever die? Those were great trades, and those 4 players prove it more and more every game.

I mean hell, Schenn, Voracek, Simmonds are right there after Giroux as our top 4 forward this season. All producing more than #18 and #17 I am pretty sure.

And in the long run, Couturier could end up being the best player we acquired in that trade!

Does that surprise you? $10 they listen to WIP , yell shoot on every power play and have no idea who Pitbull is

It's not an accident, it was a clean hit. If it's a clean hit, how should Zolnierczyk get blamed? Guys get hurt on clean plays, it happens. I don't blame the guy that made a clean play when a hit results in an injury, that's stupid.
- Jsaquella

I don't know what to tell you. It couldn't be more cut and dry. Three hits in less then two weeks by one player. All resulting in some sort of injury. Doesn't matter if they were clean or not. What matters is he the player is being watched and those watching felt he deserved a suspension. I feel the same way...

What team with a chance to win is going to give Bynum an offer the Sixers would give him? None. It's gonna be teams who suck and are willing to take the risk. Only way he leaves is if he decides he wants to be on a different crappy team.

I'd only sign him if I knew he was going to be crippled and draft Andrew Wiggins first overall in 2014.

Wipe out for Wiggins!!

I am not as worried about buffalo in the rearview as I am the Rags. Buffalo sucks. Whole town can slide into the lake for all I care. Only good things about that town are wings and bars open 'til 4AM...and if you lived in buffalo you'd appreciate bars open 'til 4am.
