Gotta say. I was very sad to see Volpatti leave but Sestito has been a welcome surprise.

I'm not advocating Harry Z staying in the line-up. With the acquisition of Gagne, I don't mind having the 4th line with a little more speed. In fact, I thought Wellwood acquitted himself quite nicely as a defensive forward in the playoffs last year. I'm a little perplexed as to why he wasn't called up before Harry Z.

The team defense and decision making has been a problem pretty much throughout all the lines including Knuble and Rusty. For whatever reason, Lava preferred the presence of Harry Z over Knuble.

Laviolette always favors the offensive side of the puck. He wants speed and energy in the lineup.

I remember when you had Havlet and Hossa also. That team was deadly. Never had the goalie but I thought for sure they were going to win a cup.

05/06 was our year, and then hasek went down in the olympics.......

He got all of those attributes. Like most 4th line energy guys, Sestito's biggest issue is the fine line between agressive and reckless. Definitely a good teammate who stands up for his teammates.

Can you please start posting the scores of the Comcast Flyers squirt games? I would like to know how Briere's kids are doing.

I think Gagne should be placed with more skill. I would replace Hartnell with Gagne on that first unit of the pp in a heartbeat.
- SuperSchennBros

Hartnell was 2nd in the entire NHL in PP goals last Season. Makes no sense to take him off of that unit and replace him with Gagne.

You had all those guys and they were young and primed. Very good team. Talent all over the ice.

Absolutely. A shutdown center that can be a 50+ point scorer is invaluable.
- PLindbergh31

As evident by Patrice Bergeron's play in the Boston-Montreal game. Bergeron is an underrated player.

If he did that to a Flyer, they would be paralyzed, Richards will be back Tuesday to score the GWG against the Flyers

Very underrated. Great two way player. Does everything right and a lot of his play goes un-noticed.

Bergeron is a very good player. I think other than Chara, he's the most important player on that team.

Understood, I still feel in the end Coots or B. Schenn will be used in a trade to significantly upgrade the defense. B. Schenn has quietly had a very good year and I think his defense is getting better.

Probably won't be this year, but I would like to see a line with Read-Coots-Simmonds. I believe it would be a very effective line that could check top lines and generate a lot of offense also.

- ravishingone

Right now, Simmonds doesn't have the two way game for that. He's playing very offensively. But he is among a number of forwards on the team who are poor defensively.

Richards head first into the boards, doesn't miss a (frank)ing shift. This horseshoe bullpoop is getting old. (frank)ing sick of it.

So someone tell me:

When did important streaks go from undefeated streak to games with at least a point streak? I thought Chicago lost a bunch in OT. Are these not losses anymore? They are losers in my book.

What the hell is going on in this world?

Richards went to the lockeroom, went in head and shoulder first into the boards.
