Beggers can be choosers. If Komi gets offered a chance to go play even in Columbus, I'm sure he'd be on the red eye for Ohio. |

EVen being a life long Leaf fan, Leaf ceremonies always paled in comparism to Montreal. Habs are the best at it. Eeven the Bell Centre fans give proper standing ovations. I guess fans at the ACC are to busy eating sushi to even bother. "Ya here comes Johhny Bower, he led the Leafs to 4 cups, clap clap sit right back down, cause my sushi is more important" |

Mabie it would be a possible win-win for Komi & the Leafs to send him to the Marlies. Here's why:
-Komi would have to cleae waivers & he could be picked up which is good for him & the Leafs.
-If he doesn't get claimed, ay least he's keeping in game shape when if/when he does get dealt.
-If Komi really has requested a trade, he needs to play somewhere for now. |

Agreed...
If i where Komi i would have requested a move to the Marlies...
That said the Leafs may have refused to send him down...Playing and getting injured could hurt the leafs.. |

I believe komi has a NMC. I presume a demotion to the AHL would be refused. |

Habs have been lucky/fortunate on the injury front this year...
"Cooke"??.... |

I believe he was suggesting Komi accepting a move to the AHL to get playing time....

I guess we can chalk up the Paradis for Tlusty trade as a bad one, and no, Tlusty doesn't = Percy. We moved both Paradis and Stalberg for Versteeg........so its actually Tlusty and Stalberg for Percy.
I didn't like the deal then. Felt it was dumping the baby out with the bathwater. Ah well.....Good for Carolina. |

To be fair, I really do believe Cooke has cleaned up his game. The Karlsson injury wasn't dirty, just one of those things.
Paul Maclean should be hands down coach of the yr. Never seen a team a team indure the injuries they have and stay in the hunt |

I think just the fact that he could possibly be picked up on waivers, the Leafs should take risk & send him to the AHL. Unless Komi has refused which would be stupid on Komi's part. |

old Burke was all or nothing with his trades. Very few even value ones. Either made off like a bandit or took it on the chin |

I need to replace Martin in my fantasy pool. I want someone whos playing tomorrow thats available so my question is:
Faulk (vs FLA tomorrow)
or
Bouwmeester (vs VAN tomorrow)
?
(Or even Kulikov (vs CAR)) |

The last Leaf ceremony was an absolute disgrace, both in terms of the content, and the response from the 'fans'. I truly believe they should stop doing them. The crowds (in the lower seating areas) at the ACC are simply too egotistical and full of themselves to understand what they are seeing. |

[quote=Blazed]I hope he goes somewhere and gets actual playing time. Despite the vitriol from fans he can still play and I thought he looked good since the day Carlyle showed up.
Hard to feel sorry for a guy that hit a 22.5 million dollar jackpot but still Komisarek has been nothing but the consummate team player, a good soldier who never complained. Cant blame him at all for trying to salvage his career. Best of luck Komo not everyone hated you you atle
everyone except you hated him...
I guy gets paid that much money, comes in on his high horse, admits three years after signing the deal "he wasn't in that great shape", plays like a dumb a__ for the first two seasons, gets squarely in the way of the development of the then recently drafted first round choice... almost single handedly drove his goaltenders nuts....
yup the real "team" guy...
c'mon .. this guy has been a bust of biblical proportions - saying anything else is just pandering to the myth of "high first round picks".
he's a plug.
if Nonis can get anything for him - good on him.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like Tlusty as a player, and he has no place really on the current team, but I just don't think he moved him at his highest value, and Paradis....like what the (frank) was he thinking. THe one sure bust in the 1st round from that year, and he acquires it.
