Komisarek's biggest mistake was signing for more money in TO instead of staying next to Markov (who's the only reason he looked good in the first place)
But I'm willing to throw an offer for him !

At least Komisarek has been handling this situation well. He's been a team player and accepted his fate.
He still has something to offer, but not at his price. At $3 million per year, he'd be in the line-up right now.
At least his actual salary is less than his cap hit next year. So long as he is willing to waive his NTC for anybody, there might be some interest. |

His play is relative to his salary. He would be a fine 5/6 defenseman. He didn't look bad at all in his first few games.
His style is exactly what Carlyle could use, but they're not going to risk injury (eliminating a possible buy-out) when they have other options at a cheaper price. |

It's true that they don't Komi to get hurt.. But also he's wayy to unreliable. I find it comical how you think you know exactly what Carlyle wants. |

Is it that hard to figure out? His entire coaching philosophy revolves around size on the back-end and defense first.
There's a reason why Holzer has been in the line-up over Gardiner and Liles. |

Also there's a reason why he got fired in Anaheim. |

He got fired because they couldn't score. The forwards didn't have anyone getting them the puck. |

More to Komisarek's decline that that. He seemed to think it was a good idea to get his weight up to 250lbs upon leaving Montreal, which made him even slower than he was before. He's lost much of that weight and looked alright in the 4 gp he's been in this year........others have said it, he's not playing so that the Leafs can make sure he doesn't get hurt before his buyout. That and I think that fibreglass incident was actually him breaking his stick in front of Carlyle in a heated one on one argument. |

Good point about the risk of getting injured...None of us really know whats going on/why he hasn't been given a game..
It may be nothing more than he lost his job to Fraser...
