Giving 12 team list is part of his NMC so that isn't exactly news worthy. That is what the tsn article posted earlier refers to. People are making inferences about Komi asking for a trade because of the Strickland tweet, but that doesn't say that.

who the hell is going to trade for Komi...I mean, there's just no motivation for literally any team in the league to acquire Komi right now. If he can't play for Carlyle, and he can't play for Ron Wilson either, this guy can't play man. This guy can't crack an NHL roster at 4.5 million, he's untradeable. He's gonna get bought out and then play somewhere for 1 million while still getting paid by the Leafs, like Gomez

Komisarek has clearly asked for a trade. The only time a list is required is when a player is either being asked to waive the NTC or is asking the team to move him. To keep denying it is just funny.

A horrible player with a horrible contract, an AHL for lifer and a 2nd for a guy who was 5th overall in 2010.

yeah they'd have to keep some of the salary as per the new CBA...I mean, Komi seems like a solid guy and it would be class on the part of the Leafs if they used that provision to make a trade possible so he can at least get some ice somewhere and try to keep his career going...but on the other hand the Leafs could just buy him out per the new cba....I think the Leafs are holding out to see if they can move him but if not will buy him out rather than scratch him the whole season....unless there are injuries in the starting lineup, that changes everything

Did I say that??? Fact is strickland didn't say he asked for a trade, all he said was that there is a 12 team list (as per his NMC) that he's agree to go to. That isn't saying that he asked for a trade. People are inferring that strickland said he asked for a trade, but he never said that.


Only time you need a list is when you are being asked to waive..... wrong as usual.
