Good lord, another 4 years of the inconsistent Grabbo at $5.5 per. Not sure which is worse, the money or the term. I say the term. If I was Burke, I would have offered $4 mill for 5 seasons or if Grabbo wanted more, my next offer would have been $5,5 per for 2 seasons. If Grabbo didn't like either offer, I would have dealt him. It's like Grabbo had Burke by the balls, which never made sense. Not like Grabbo is a #1 center who gets like 90 points every season. Very poorly handled by Burke. That may fuk up the Leafs down the road when Kessel & Kadri need to re-sign. How the fuk does an incocnsisrent 2nd line center get a deal like he got?

if the cutoff for the playoffs is 52 points like mentioned.. the leafs could lose all the remaining games in overtime and still have a chance to make the playoffs

AGREED!!!!! Mikail (JR EWING) Grabovski obviously had the dirty bits on Burke for sure. Look at the chain of events, first Grabbo gets his over paid deal with ridiculous term, than down the road Hazel is rumoured ot have gotten pregnant, than down the roadm Burke gets unexpectedly fired in a cloud of unexplained contriversy the eve of the Leaf season. All makes sense when you add it all up. Grabbo is smarter than he looks. He knew that know way he'd get a deal like he got without blackmail.
