When five of your six d combine for a lower salary than him, then he's always gonna be on the outside looking in unless he's a 1/2 guy.

His play is relative to his salary. He would be a fine 5/6 defenseman. He didn't look bad at all in his first few games.

His style is exactly what Carlyle could use, but they're not going to risk injury (eliminating a possible buy-out) when they have other options at a cheaper price.

Thank you, Komi is exactly a solid physical 5/6 dman, especially since losing some weight to gain some mobility. I dont know if some teams will have trouble getting to the floor next year (due to the falling salary cap) like they have in past years, but if there are some, and leafs pay a portion of the 3.5mil actual salary, he could be moved no problem and more than like a 6th rounder.

Pens D and forwards on D were just standing around too, it looked like they were playing zone defence at times...then again the Habs gave up 7 so they weren't much better...(frank) when Sid et al get behind the net in the offensive zone they are scary
