when i think of dirty dirty i think of matt cook coming in from the side where the guy had no chance to defend himself

these are both north south shots
do they deserve 5 mins... most likely, should he get fined... ok

buy guys are making him out to be some kind of monster when hes just a kid trying to earn a spot in the nhl

Ok wait let me get this straight... a hit which most if not all flyer fans deemed to be outside of the rules and worthy of a suspension, is a hit which you say has nothing wrong with it. I'm literally stunned. Where have you been the past few years when head shots have been a hot topic that the NHL AND players alike want removed. This is a by the book definition of what NOT to do. But hey, its all Lundin's fault for not keeping his head up. Next time a player jumps, lunges and makes full contact to Kovalchuk's head leaving him concussed on the ice.. remember what you said here, 'theres nothing wrong with it'.

Sorry your player got hurt and if Kovy skates with his head down then he'll end up like Eric Lindros also. This is hockey NOT baseball. Hitting has and will always be part of the game. Again I'm not saying people should be attacked but open ice hits are part of the game. If it was against the boards with the players back to the play then fine but it was in the open ice. Again, how did he attack his head? He hit him with his shoulder. It just happen that Lundin's head was down to the level where Zol's shoulder was. He wasn't head hunting or did a bertuzzi. It was a hockey play but I understand with all the concussions in all the sports people are getting sensitive about head injuries. I hope Lundin is OK even though we disagree.
