I'd ALMOST be happy with someone like Laviolette (Retread?) even though:
1-I despise him
2-His hair is greasier than a Philly cheesesteak
3-He has a "system"

Keenan hasn't had an NHL coaching job in 4 years. He hasn't won a cup in 19 years. What made him such a good coach in his heyday doesn't necessarily fly today. He has either missed the playoffs completely, or not won a playoff series, in his previous 9 seasons as a coach, and he hasn't touched an NHL bench in the last four years. He's out of touch, and out of his mind. People think Lindy was an a$$hole??? Try this gem on for size.

Um, yeah. ... I moved on from Keenan and was responding to your call for someone else....

My second point was about Patrick Roy or Ron Rolston, or anyone new and unproven being a total crapshoot. I'd feel better with someone that has experience and a good playoff record.

BTW, I respect Lindy a ton, but he wore his welcome out about 5 years ago due to his ineffectiveness at being outcoached in the playoffs (when he did lead us there). That game 7 against Boston was pathetic, and losing to Philly the way we did was even worse. No killer instinct with the Ruffster, so Bu-Bye
