Sens have an embarrassment of riches between the pipes. I'm intrigued by this kid Bishop. 6'7" and very athletic with good mobility for his size.

The Flyers aren't looking for a goalie but a team in need should give Ottawa a call.

I heard that about Mike Smith also. Some players come on later in their careers.

Both Anderson and Smith showed ability before exploding on their current teams. Smith looked like he was going to be a real good goalie in Tampa, but he had injury woes.

Anderson played great for Colorado, after showing a lot of potential in Florida, but had a bad follow up year and was traded to Ottawa. No doubt the fact that both Phoenix and Ottawa playing tight checking styles has helped them, but both have also played some fantastic hockey.

The team trading for Bishop would probably be trading for him to be their starting goaltender.

Defenseman Mike Lundin (flu) is listed as questionable.
- bmeltzer

Harrison Zolnierczyk answered that question.

I hope Lundin is OK.

It's been reported he won't return. Have to think a concussion.

technically it wasn't because his feet did come off the ice, barely, just before impact. i don't think that part of it, the way it happened, really made any difference and doesn't make it dirty. it's not like he targeted the guys head from 10 feet, lept in the air and drilled him. i'd feel the same way if the situation were reversed.

Looked at a few more replays, and I've changed my mind. I think the combo of primary contact with the head, and the microsecond of leaving his feet before contact will wind up costing Z a few games. I still wouldn't say it was a flagrantly dirty hit, but I think there's enough wrong with it that he'll sit a few.

You got the previous Harry Z hit wrong, and you got this one wrong also. He's going to be suspended and rightly so.
- MJL

He'll almost certainly be suspended, but as for targeting the head, that seems unlikely. The guy was bent over...his head was at shoulder level.

Its not flagrantly dirty, but it does provide an example of exactly the kind of hit the NHL wants gone.

Not that I am trying to defend Harry Z but it seems that most open ice hits like that the player seems to leave his skates to lessen the prunt of the hit (to themselves). It happens so fast the player can't stop fast enough.
