A player runs into the goalie, the ref either call D interference or goalie interference on the attacker. It's amazing how many they get wrong.

They should just eat the whistle. No harm in missing a call that doesn't result in a goal.

I thought L. Schenn was tripped by the Ottawa forechecker on the previous play (when he slid into the corner and lost the puck) too. Refs not getting much right in this game so far.

That one wasn't as blatant as the hooking on Giroux. That was some 1990's, Lindros vs Florida obstruction

He'll almost certainly be suspended, but as for targeting the head, that seems unlikely. The guy was bent over...his head was at shoulder level.

In terms of an overall player, JVR's potential is not equal to Couturier's. It seems as though you are selling Couturier short.
