always wonder if Jake would be playing this way if he hadn't had that season with Jagr. I think he learned alot from him.

Looked at a few more replays, and I've changed my mind. I think the combo of primary contact with the head, and the microsecond of leaving his feet before contact will wind up costing Z a few games. I still wouldn't say it was a flagrantly dirty hit, but I think there's enough wrong with it that he'll sit a few.

seeing it in slow motion a few times, i can see how shanaban will rule in favor of a suspension. the problem is the play develops in a matter of 2 seconds. i don't think there was intent to target the head or injure. i know why the league wants to get rid of hits like this, because often the guys does end up getting hit in the head one way or another, even if it's not intentional. you don't want to see players injured.
