Been refuted...many many times...bye bye
- OilHorse

but it is yet to be seen if they can be a contender while signing the untouchable players and bringing in the depth to contend without have quality depth draft choices.

I agree, but the names Clouts has been throwing out there are better than Richards. He made the case for Ovi and Weber and proceeded to mention average names.

He also said in the OV thread that it was not gonna happen. You forgot to mention this...or take it into consideration.

I know it was tough to grasp it but...If you don't win a trophy you are not a star?

Trade anyone on your top 6. Your team is not balanced. You need a number one goaltender. You need a true number one defenseman and you need more grit on the top 6.

You need good veterans to teach young guns how to become veterans.

You won't adress your needs with Paajarvi or other prospects.

Get use to it or suck for 5 years. Oilers need to be good now because they will not afford to sign all your top six in 2-3 years.

This is IT! THIS is the post that sums up everything perfectly. He is 100% impartial and he is 100% correct.

It has yet to be seen because they are still in the middle of the rebuild.

Remember, this team started it's rebuild when they picked Hall, that was their first ever first overall. Hall has not even exited his ELC yet.

This team is rebuilding not just the Oilers, but the while organization. They got their own AHL franchise, they have been stocking the prospect pool.

The basic mandate is to build this team from within with as many home grown players as possible and when the core is done tweak around them.

They are only starting to get to the tweak stage. The problem with people like you is that you expect final answers when the questions have not been finalized yet.

That's debatable, but i don't see a single young gun being as defensively responsible as Galchenyuk. That being said, are you the kind of guy that say Yakupov is better than Galchenyuk?

If so, no nedd to argue here because that will never be the case.

one of the most ignorant comments I've ever seen. Talk about homerism. Look Gally's great, but I wouldn't take him over any of RNH, Hall, Eberle, or Yak. Their potentials are far greater then Gally's.

yea ur right... i feel so bad for edmonton because no on wants to play there..... get over urselfs ..... they don't wanna play there cause they don't see the management doing a good job.... any team that is at the bottom of the standings has to over pay for ufa's.
- derm10

haha who wants to play in MON? EDM attracted Justin Schultz as a UFA. MON just overpaid Prust as a UFA. Wonder who's more appealing. Whaat a joke. #vivelaseparation

edmonton would be better off overpaying players like prust.... they need more of that type of player.

Subban and Diaz are good, but it's not gonna get done with Markov, Emelin, Bouillon and Gorges. They'll either have to sign big name UFA (no one wants to play in montreal) or draft high and well. Montreal's doing more of the Flames system
