Wonder if the morning skate holds any indication for starting top six:

Hemsky RNH Yakupov
Paajarvi Gagner Eberle

I like it - I've been wanting Yaks to play with RNH.

woah woah woah woooooah! lol

I never ever played any serious hockey...just junior, university, minor pro, etc. There just seems to be a very open and accessable hockey scene in Montreal in the summer time that's all. A lot of guys have friends here etc. and come skate with them in the off season. I am absolutely a "joe fan", just to clarify. But yeah, I go to every game and have friends that play pro and stuff.

I think what a lot of people miss is the fact that for the guys playing in the league, it's a job. It should not be too much fun, it should be work...HARD WORK. I don't think the current makeup of the Oilers gets this. Just my opinion. Most of my best friends, we've punched each other in the nose over the years...a lot! lol

Season 3 s just now starting to percolate, I'm diggin in it.

One thing I was annoyed with last episode is when Andrea goes back and they forget to tell her that the Guvna sexually abused Maggie. Okay.

Oh. and Rick has always been treading on annoying, maybe thats the point, he is heavily burdened indeed, I can't figure out if it's something else or that I'm just not into the actor/ casting of him.

- Salvo

Could be that he is a Brit playing an American.

This!

McDonagh is really good, but if the Rangers were offered this? They would take it in a heart beat. They are bursting at D and need scoring.

- Iggysbff

Exactly. This trade would address a need for both teams.

Ya perhaps - funny how Brits are so much better at playing North Americans or so it seems...
Hugh Laurie for instance.
I feel like its more noticeable when an American has to sell an English accent.

It's the Brits - they chuckle at it, they own it. Theater is pretty much they're domain.

That is why they are such better actors. Theater is much harder to learn and hone there craft in, than just regular tv/movies.

It's so hard to figure out, if in fact one of the fantastic four go in deal, which one it would be. Add Gagner to that as well.

That's why at this point, management has to exercise patience this year and maybe another on them.

Now, a deal with Hemmer ++ bringing us back something we need is another story.

Only thing is, there lack of scoring comes from the fact that Nash, Richards, and Gaborik are in a perfect storm of slumps. Our lack of D comes from the fact our D just isn't that good. I'd love McDonagh, but I don't think the Rags are too worried about fiddling with their roster. I don't see them making a shakeup like that before they've considered moving some of their other guys - Del Zotto or Staal might be able to be had for a little less. Then there's a guy like Michael Sauer: if he can still play coming back from injury, the Rags might be looking to move him out for cheap.

Hemmer + 1st + prospect or two (Gernat and Reider) opens you up to a LOT of good players. Hell, Hemmer straight up should get you a 2/3 liner with size.

Hell ya - now, I keep wondering how the 5 million looks to the teams interested and if it's this summer he's a pending UFA.

Which to some teams is good and others not so much.

Gotta find the right dance partner at the right time. That's why at times I take a break on chastising management a ton.
I'm not sure what they're after and whether those deals are available.

Having said that, it's pretty hard having any real trust in Tambo and mostly how he expresses himself not necessarily whether he's a good GM.
Maybe he's "good" or okay, but I'd like to think he can show that he's savvy.
