I think Engels has gone to some of the off-season ice times as well, I seem to remember him there. I haven't gone that many times, less than ten, but I play with a goalie (who actually isn't that particularily good) who plays with all of the pro guys from the NHL and Europe when they come back for the summer. I get a lot of info from him when he plays with my room. He actually really brags a lot about playing goal with all of these pro guys, and he's a pretty poopty goalie...but his stories are great! lol

I never ever played any serious hockey...just junior, university, minor pro, etc. There just seems to be a very open and accessable hockey scene in Montreal in the summer time that's all. A lot of guys have friends here etc. and come skate with them in the off season. I am absolutely a "joe fan", just to clarify. But yeah, I go to every game and have friends that play pro and stuff.

I think what a lot of people miss is the fact that for the guys playing in the league, it's a job. It should not be too much fun, it should be work...HARD WORK. I don't think the current makeup of the Oilers gets this. Just my opinion. Most of my best friends, we've punched each other in the nose over the years...a lot! lol

Have you ever played defense in front of a great tender and in front of a crap one? Yeah, exactly. Price doesn't have to make 50saves every game, it's the fact that he's THERE. I'd love to switch them. Give someone like Jeff Petry the confidence that Subban has to make such low percentage plays...it's a different world. Teams with questionable goalies have to have their mind on so many other things within each and every play.

You go do your research...I have a game to go play at 10:30.

A number of things have aligned correctly for the Habs this year. Imo, and Ive held this for a long time, that team lives and dies by Markov. Price too, but Le Glorieux are a different team when Markov is healthy.

ok so the fact we have carey price helping the def make low percentage play is a bad thing? therrien is about make the right and safe play. I'm not a hockey wiz and never got a chance to playbut my pops designed coaching systems and coaching manual for hockey canada and the richards were close friends... this season is a classic example of great team effort and not just individual effort. its exciting really. lastly price doesnt have to make the hard saves or work the same way as last year. hes getting more perimeter and soft saves from the outside. the d is doing a great job forcing the openents to take low percentage shots.
