O reilly only got what he did because of the flames desperation. On the radio today they were saying something about the O reilly having to clear waivers if he went to the flames. COL should have held out, got the 1st n 3rd, and then got o reilly back on waivers

I'd take ROR any day (maybe not at 5 million per year with a 6.5 million dollar qualifying offer), but Kadri is set to blow away ROR's career year.

He looks sad out there. Wow talk about lack of interest. He cuts in the middle very rarely now, and when he does it is usually at the top of the circles. Then flakes off into the corners away from the play. He floats on his defensive assignment on the boards. He just doesn't seem to be the same guy as last year.

I would love to know why.

Better not get caught up in the Kadri hoopla and forget to re-up Bozak. He's the most well-rounded centre you guys have and Kadri isn't ready to step into Bozzy's shutdown role.

Kadri is a thin lanky player. He has alot of skills but he need to learn to play the defensive side of the game. Not many player can step in at 20. He is also well insulated now. If the Leaf stop being a tough team, Kadri will have lots of difficulty.

I think Kessel has the same feeling towards Carlyle as Ryan.. Maybe it has something to do with American players not liking Carlyles approach? JVR seems to be doing fine, but he has Canadian root

am I really mistaken in remarking that Bozak plays more of a two-way role than Kadri, gets more def zone starts than Kadri and faces better competition (factoring in PK time) than Kadri?

It's only really been the past couple games. For the first part of the year, I thought he looked every bit as good as he did last year (with a little rust). He just wasn't getting the pay-off.

I'm not sure what happened, but it's like a switch was flipped. After finishing 6th in league scoring last year, I'm willing to cut him the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to some minor injury or the flu.

We'll see how he responds to 3 days rest.
