Sorry, just saying

When someone comes on a forum like this and claims that they have sources, it's such a bold statement that it's simply unbelievable.

That deal you put forward would be a nice haul, and I'm not even inclined to move Kuli until the off-season as we need his two-way skills

- AngryWhiteMale

Totally understandable... He is a friend and tied to Blues. I live in St. Louis so I only know who St. Louis would be offering. Except Kulemin was mentioned by name ...not claiming I have sources but the uh who told me I believe.
I just wondered if it was for Jaden Schwartz wouldn't our dman going back have to be pretty good. Hopefully not Gardiner

I feel Liles will be easy to move - not so concerned with the return as I am with being able to dump the salary, I'd be happy with a 3rd
- steve362

Agree

I want him off the books so our cap situation is cleaner going into the summer, and we would thus get a chance to insert Gardiner into the lineup, something we've needed

You didn't take in the Clouts factor. He's actually a top line power forward in the mold of Lucic.
- AdamFrench

Oh right.

Never mind then. We've got Biggs. Town isn't big enough for two Lucics and a Phaneuf.

its not pro-rated numbers. its almost a ppg in a legitimate nhl season.
- sens rock

That's almost exactly what pro-rated means. You can't say Kadri will score a point per game over 82 games just because he did it in 48 games. If you do, which is basically what you're saying, that's called pro-rating his numbers to fit a full season. What he can do in a full season is still unknown and therefore you can't pay him as if he played 82 games when he only played 48.

if every hockey player went back into a new draft, and you were picking for the Leafs (or whoever), what would you rather have: the 1st overall and 20th overall, or the 10th and 11th overall?

dreger said where....

And what Dman?? I'm not interested in Cole.

- burn

Don't care who your interested in unless your Dave Nonis just put out there what I heard. If it happens you'll say he heard....if it doesn't I'll say the guy who I thought was pretty credible isn't

I said almost...his +50 was the second highest since 1999 and the three guys ahead were Forsberg (Hart trophy)/Hedjuk (Rocket Richard) and Pronger in his Hart trophy year.

...There's no logic in moving young D for young D.

Nonis is looking to trim the fat right now, and if he can return with anything of value or the likes of Komi, Liles, Mac etc then great.

As long as we don't have any problems with cap space over the next 2 years with the likes of Dion, Kessel, Kadri and Reimer
We still have to get Gunnarsson & Franson new deals too

I'd certainly go the route of the 2nd between the two, esp. if we could lowball them into taking the Anaheim 2nd.

He's like what? An older Petry with little room for growth? Or better than Whitney this year but worse than Whitney when healthy?

- Morris

He's been crap since he got power slammed last year.

based on power rankings you could get Datsyuk and Tavares at 9/10, or you could get Stamkos/Marleau at 1/20

What the (frank), look at the standings. Chicago right now reminds me of in the WWF they would bring in the new badass heel who would just brutally destroy everyone and the announcer would always bust a classic line like 'The question is, can anyone stop this MONSTER?' Wtf, they haven't lost in regulation yet? What the (frank) is that? That's sick.

Hawks, Boston, and freaking Anaheim and the Habs are very impressive with what they've done. Ottawa is some kind of mutant you can't kill as well.

The Leafs are interesting so far. The not-impossible prospect of Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and Winnipeg being in the playoffs is interesting. Since Winnipeg goes west next year it is literally the only time it's ever going to be possible. That would be the brownest poop ever.

After the nuclear apocalypse, there will only be cockroaches and Ottawa kicking around 6th or 7th place in the East.

Then again, I used to say that about Buffalo, and it looks like that beast is finally dead.

Said something comparable to JVRs deal would be good.

6-7 years at 4-4.25

If we give him a bridge contract it'll give us a couple more seasons, and if he lights it up he'll end up demanding ridiculous money. Get him locked in now at a reasonably low rate. We've already invested enough time in this guy

I think a bridge deal is the better choice, if he does light it up and is a ppg player, I have no problems with the Leafs paying him for that. I like the approach that you pay a guy what he's worth rather than trying to get a "deal", especially for a team like the Leafs. It gives you way more flexibility going forward, and keeps the players motivated. Reserve the long term deals for 1-2 proven franchise players.

I'd take 10 and 11, because I think the dropoff to the twentieth pick would mean the 10 and 11 picks would be worth more. I have no idea who the 10th, 11th, and 20th picks in an all-world draft would be, although I think Crosby would be number one. 10th I'm assuming is Cory Schneider,11th has to be Kesler, and then that would make Kassian available at 20, a total steal.

He had 19 points in 33 games in the AHL this year and was a team worse -14. He is only 5'10" and 190 pounds not exactly the big centre the Leafs are looking for

Frenchie, you said "record." If you meant 3rd highest since the turn of the century, thats fine. THough I'm impressed with Konstantinov's number.

Don't care who your interested in unless your Dave Nonis just put out there what I heard. If it happens you'll say he heard....if it doesn't I'll say the guy who I thought was pretty credible isn't
