I'll put this out there only because I love what Nash is able to do in this lineup: Maybe if the right trade comes along I'd trade Gaborik. What about this: If San Joe were to approach and say we'll give you Ryan Clowe and Dan Boyle for Gaborik and a prospect and/or draft pick. We have enough cap space to make that deal and would actually save $800K on next year's cap (difference in Boyle's and Gabby cap hit). Gives us depth on blue line and another guy that has multiple 20-goal seasons on his resume. We may lack that elite second goal scorer but we'd still have enough depth to roll 3 solid lines that can score and Nash is the difference-maker Gabby isn't every game.

Call me crazy, but Wilson would never agree to that deal. San jose only has 4 decent defensemen, Boyle is one of them.

You are probably right but I threw that out more as an idea that we can trade Gaborik to help other areas and because Nash simply makes this team better I don't think we'd miss Gabby as much as I would have thought before. Any deal I would entertain has to include a solid D and a top-nine F. We'd improve on D over having to dress Gilroy, Eminger or Bickel on D and add another solid F so we can still roll three lines that can contribute offensively.

If a team doesn't want to play they shouldn't be given calls to get back in the game, they haven't earned a thing tonight.

Wait until Sven Baertschi is a RFA in a few years or maybe TJ Brodie this summer. Colorado might get some payback.

It's bound too. Step is obviously someone Torts likes a lo t and trusts. Look at his ice time this year. He will have a similar case as O'Reilly. He has alomst as many points (105 to 107) in 54 fewer NHL games (not counting tonight).

Think about this now, Duchene, Landeskog and O'Reilly will all be RFA's as soon as 2013/14 season ends. Landeskog is is the Captain and Duchene is their best player. If I were them I would point to the deal the aves matched for O'Reilly.

What a great goal there. He went from backhand to forehand and made it look so easy slipping that puck into the open side. What a talent.

Its one game...they end this losing streak...but anyone who says the injuries aren't an excuse or a reason blah blah blah...this was the most complete game they played all season, its amazing how health and energy (and my god there was a Brad Richards sighting) can show us what this team is capable of...hey they even played the same style as they did last season, forecheck, stiff defensively and physical....oh and when Hank had to be good at the end he was good. The issue has been doing this repeatedly. Nash is an (frank)ing animal!!

Million dollar question. Not only the best ranger, but the pest player on the ice for both teams.

Unknown but Richards had his best game in a while, 17-3 on face offs
