This makes sense if Calgary is planning on trading Iggy and getting a 1st + for hm. You can consider this an O'Reilly for Iggy deal, which serves the Flames pretty well, although O'Reilly is not worth 6.5 mil next year. And paying him 3.5 for 25 games this year is pretty steep.

I didn't catch the game but that was some terrible play and I am an Oilers fan. There is something wrong. That is intentional dogging it. He's either injured or he wants out. Maybe he thinks if he sucks bad enough they will buy him out and he can sign with a new team. More play like that and no one will pay 9 mill for 10 years for the guy.

Mike Milbury beat a fan with his own shoe, and threatened a 12 year old kid at a charity hockey game. I will take anything he says on the subject of "be(ing) a man" with a grain of salt.

If I were the Canucks I'd steer clear of Ovie, not sure he is the answer. Wait until trade dead line and then pull the trigger if need be otherwise stay with existing line up.

If you can keep everyone healthy that's a pretty strong line up in Vancouver, and I don't think there are any true suitors out there for Luongo. Keep him and take another run at the cup with both goalies.

And apparently Crosby is the whiner.....

I wasn't about to bring that up, kudos.

When you jump unsuspecting players, it's not really a 'fight'.

Also, fighting has nothing to do with wearing the C. It's simply seen as an avenue of leadership,but still, there are many captains who barely ever fight - and for good reason, it's pretty much counter-productive.

You want to see a great leader taking a fight....against a guy twice his size and fighting abilities, sending a message to his opponent and teammates; check out Toews vs Thornton.....AWESOME!

On the Prust - Phaneuf thing, Cherrry hit the head, Dion runs around and looks for trouble, so he has to answer the bell.

I disagree here. You gotta look at the entire picture here, McLaren pretty much asked the entire bench for a fight, no takers...it was up to Montreal to answer the bell after the last game, the right thing was Prust to take Orr on after he manhandled Gionta and Punched out the other other guy.

IMO, Prust tried to take the easy way out and take out Dion. I do believe Dion has to answer the bell from time to time, but that wasn't the fight to take....

And apparently Crosby is the whiner.....

he's also responsible for 2 of the worst trades in NHL history, and single handedly setting the islanders franchise back probably 15 years. the guy has as much off ice hockey IQ as the coffee cup sitting on my desk.
