i still think that kesler can be an effective defensive player without being the centre.

my bottom line is that i don't like him carrying the puck as much as he does. anything that reduces that (even if he stays at centre) is fine by me.

i want him to have a playmaker on the line who will feed him and booth. if you can find a playmaking winger, so much the better.

Do you mean there's no instantaneous effects? Then to a certain extent I agree. Steroids help in muscle regeneration, which allows an athlete to recover faster from workouts, etc. and thus increase strength. It's not like popeye taking spinach, and it doesn't automagically give you big muscles.

Or perhaps you mean that someone who takes steroids isn't necessarily bound to perform better than someone who doesn't. Indeed, things like balance, vision, creativity, hand-eye coordination and hard work are not going to be improved by steroids - ironically these attributes seem to be missing from Ovi's game right now.

But if you mean that steroids produce no effects on performance, I don't think that's correct, and there are many sources that will counter that claim.
