Apparently if the player played in the KHL after the CBA was signed and played past a certain date in January, any team that would have picked up ROR via offer sheet would have had him pass through waivers.
Unless Feaster was doing the Avs a favour (which I doubt), the flames should fire him now.

So I finished the last (well, most recently published) book of the Song of Fire and Ice series (a.k.a Game of Thrones). I don't want to spoil anything for people watching the show or reading them now but, man, George R. R. Martin is pretty ruthless. Not sure how I feel about some of his choices on direction.

Anyone in the know aware of when the next book is supposed to come out? I heard he was hired to write for a new HBO show so I assume that will impact his speed of writing. Will he ever finish or is it going to be like a Robert Jordan situation? (I haven't read those books, but I know of them).

Yeah that's what I inferred in my post. Not first round, but I like him in the mid to late second.

Mistakes still happen. Dale Tallon forgot to send out qualifying offers to his RFAs on time which cost the Blackhawks millions more than had he done it properly and it cost him his job even though I think they were still able to retain all of their RFAs.
