Not likely. Jonesy can handle it. Not when someone blindside attacks him from behind like a little scumrat but he'll still go to the net. Its what he does.

In old CBA, 13:23 specified any player who plays in Europe after start of NHL reg season needs waivers playing in same season in NHL.

Remember Jbo in FL? Seems like he's wasting away in Calgary. Eating up minutes, but it seems like he could produce so much more on a different team.
- celata29

thats what i was thinking. i remember i would always trade for dion and jbo in the game and just rip point shots top cheese all game long

But article 13 of recent MOU, says following: All players on a Club's Reserve List and RFA list will be exempt from application of 13:23...

So I was kinda disappointed in parts with both Holzer and Frazer. I think the solution over the next few days is to unload one of Komi or Liles. Nonis has a few days to make a thorough reflection on what he's seen up to this point, as he won't get a gap in this schedule again.

With a free roster spot, we can get Gardiner into the lineup, something we need in the neutral zone, another avenue for attack in which speed helps us hold the puck and gain the zone.

With Holzer and Frazer, they can be alternated between on the third pairing.

As for Reimer, I don't think he did a bad job last night. Franson was screenng him on the Visnovsky shot, and while he went down early on Okposo's shot, it was a perfect shot, so I'll let it slide.

Great game from Kadri. I definitely think he should assume 2nd line duties with Loops and Frattin when they return. Give the old Grabs MacKuli line a chance against other teams third lines

I definitely think DET is a good destination for Liles.

And I stand by my original idea of Komi, Ashton and a 2nd for Neideritter

In other words, in this new CBA, team can sign one of its own RFAs or draft picks out of Europe in mid-season and get in lineup w/o waivers.

just watched it, just a love tap or warning shot if you will. Benn just did that in a stupid stupid way, shanny loves to drop the hammer on the premeditated incidents. he should have just crushed him on the forcheck or something.

While it wasnt half as dirty as Brown's muderous boarding call it was still pretty bad.

Surprising Feaster still thinks the flames are good enough to not blow up and restart. Is it their loyalty to Iginla and vice versa which is holding them back from doing what they really need to do?

It would have been the epitome of Jay Feaster's tenure as the GM of the Flames

that doesn't explain if he was offer sheeted, that only shows that the AV's don't need to pass him through waivers

Did you watch it in slow motion or game speed? Looked like more than a tap to me, was cheap and dangerous.

I know I completely agree with you it is ridiculous. I don't think it's loyalty to Iginla, I think it's an attempt to put out a mediocre product to still attract fans, who could see Calgary win on any given night, and maybe (highly unlikely) steal an 8th seed. I just it's money not proper hockey management.

im not a flames fan but man oh man i would have felt awful for their team had the avs decided not to match and they just lost him, i mean they wouldnt have even been able to grab another jankowski....plus that would have made all the mike milbury and JFJ moves look like gold

We can only wish. Nino is a big freaking kid, plenty of potential for him. That being said, I don't think we can throw our garbage at Garth and expect him to give us nino.
