well, I am of Guyanese and Dutch descent. And the mere thought of Kadri is worth at least a few extra inches on its own

The Dutch as in Goldmember Dutch?

I don't see Carlyle only having 2 tough guy. Especially when it's been working for them so far. 2 of Brown, McLaren and Orr will play most games, with 1 being a scratch.

That's Carlyle's MO, and it's clearly working (or it is in his mind at least).

- Big_Lightnin

So you're suggesting?

JVR Bozak Kessel

Lupul Kadri Frattin

Komarov Grabovski Kulemin

McClement - 2 of Orr,Brown and McLaren winging that line.

That's the issue? Where does MacArthur fit?

Does Komarov move down to 4th line with McClement and say Orr. Cause Komarov hits and gets the job done.

Reunite MacArthur with the old line for steady 3rd line. Waive or trade Steckel and keep Brown and McLaren in the press box til somebody gets hurt?

Good find by Pecafanfan http://www.sportsnet.ca/h...anche_match_ryan_oreilly/

O'Reilly had the Avs not matched would have been put through waivers to play with the Flames What a bunch of morons, the Blue Jackets would be laughing all the way to the bank.

Key cog in the Malkin deal. Gagner Whitney, Rieder (Top prospect) and a 2016 first round pick (top-10 protected of course)
- AdamFrench

Rieder yes...yet another smallish skilled winger. Thank goodness we have none of those.

Khaira interests me a lot more, as does Bigos, yet Clouts never mentions either.

Yes - good for what they have. Then the 4th line produces 2/3rds of the first PK for added ice time. don't see anything wrong with trying this.

That's some embarrassing poop about O'Reilly's offer sheet, and likely the reason he wasn't getting one earlier from other teams.

No, he's not considered a UFA to the AV's so he doesn't need waivers.

Nope...apparently according the rule, because he was with Colorado for the last 3 years, he's not viewed as a free agent in the same way as if he were to join another team. I was wondering the same thing as well.

Losing 1st and a 3rd so the Jackets could have their number one center

It would have went down as the dumbest move alltime.

Give up a 1st and a 3rd for nothing.

That would have been awesome for Edmonton to watch from a divisional standpoint...ROR leaves Colorado, AND Calgary gives away their 1st and 3rd this year for sweet (frank) all...

Edit: I'll edit that and say Colorado will still benefit, because even with ROR this year, Columbus would likely still be a bottom 3-5 team.

Unbelievable. Is it crazy to think Feaster and Sherman could have worked something out prior to get this resolved and ROR on the ice? They basically forced the issue and have ROR for at least 1 year. I'll scratch your back...too out there?
