To keep the tradition of dropping the puck, they can drop it at the start of every period. And for ceremonial purposes. But that's it.
- Two_For_Truth

Wrong.

Please refer to Strange Brew to see how pucks should be dropped.

9 puck dropping machines on the ceiling.

Done.

I agree with this. It takes linesman error out of it, but the purists who still think goalies should have two hands on the goal stick will be up in arms...
- p_zub

Go really radical.......

The team that freezes the puck, the other team gets the puck on their side of center. Kinda like a throw in is in basketball.

Thats radical.

Let's just start playing without blades on our sticks and using a ring instead of a puck.

The NHL has never used hybrid icing. I wish they would, but they don't.

The AHL was using it but stopped when the lockout ended.

- burn

My bad. For some reason I thought they were going to try it this season after the experiment in the AHL. Oh well, explains everything, including why players are still getting injured in races for the puck.

So you solution to Reimer's poor puck-handling skills is to put Scrivens back in the net?
- Atomic Wedgie

yes I don't think Scrivens has played to bad...I think give Reimer another game or 2 or until he loses..I like Reimer..but man the guy has zero glove and zero stick handling skills...mens league hockey player ( i'm kidding...ah...sort of.. )

Why?

Just go to no-touch icing.

Sometimes the NHL just kills me - they obviously need a change, and instead of just adopting what every other league on earth uses (and it works), they come up with some stupid system that even I don't fully understand (and I'm smarter than the average bear) and leaves the NHL completely open to criticisms of bad calls since it is totally at the referee's discretion.

It was an honour just to be nominated.

And I got to go to the awards ceremony - meaning I paid my own way to go to a TGI Friday's in the suburbs of Philly, where we all ordered 4,000 calorie meals and waited around for a guy in a ski mask to show and hand out awards.

He didn't show.

- Atomic Wedgie

Well that guy is a real eklund, geez what an eklund move to pull on you guys. Atleast you got some TGI Fridays out of it.

You mean shooting from ridiculous angles or distances doesn't result in goals on a consistent basis?

No way...

That's lunacy.

- Two_For_Truth

Kessel's not your typical scorer. He can score from far out/weird angles because he's accurate, and has an insanely fast, sneaky shot. Even from far out, goalies won't see the puck until it's in the back of the net.

The problem is, usually he's mixing it up, he'll snipe one from a weird angle one play, and drive the net the next. Now he's being too consistent with trying to get it in from the outside, so the goalies are expecting it more.

The bigger problem is, last few game's he's just been lazy. Needs to dial up the intensity. Maybe Kadri should share his coke stash.

I like the foosball method just whip a puck in from the side at varying angles and watch chase it down.

I ordered this thing where they take a pepperoni pizza, and then cover it with cheesy chili nachos, and then place chicken fingers on top of it.

But I had it with a diet Coke, so it was OK.

what? I don't agree..but whatever...Scrivens handles the puck 100x better than Reimer..so what does that say about Reimer? Reimer doesn't have rebounds they just go right by his glove.
