There's a little bar in the marina area of Puerto Vallarta called Chappy's. Beer is cheap, the food is a step above disgusting, and as you sit on the patio in your shorts and golf shirt, watching the Leafs, the sun glimmers off the jillion dollar yachts and beyond to the golden mountains in the background.

Last couple of games he;s really regressed.
Atleast earlier he was putting up assists and driving the net. Now he's taking his annual break from the game. Carlyle's gonna need to fix that trend. - Feeling Glucky?
You mean shooting from ridiculous angles or distances doesn't result in goals on a consistent basis?
No way...
That's lunacy. |

I know, right?
Like, every single other captain has already dropped the gloves 5 times this season, and this guy won't even throw a hit - Feeling Glucky?
Kinda reminds me of Schenn when we had him, heavy hitter, would drop the gloves...next thing ya know management says cut that out....uhhhh why bother bringing in a player like that if you're gonna tell him to stop playing the way hes most effective. just stupid

Reimer stunk...go back to Scrivens..Some of it's rust..but man make me cry that 4th goal...stick handles like a 7 yr old and has zero glove - Scrivens get your rebound control under control and you could be #1 - I though Fraser played fine..except the 1st goal haha looked like he was giving the Isle player a 2nd stick to pass to in front of the net - Great win - watched it this morning..almost smashed the tv when it went to 4-4 |

And the linesmen went back to their usual ways of throwing out at least 2 guys at each faceoff before dropping the puck... - p_zub
That is driving me nuts in all these games. Is the some directive from head office? They want to speed the game up - just drop the flippin' puck already. |

I say adopt the lacrosse method. Put the puck flat on the ice, make the two players touch it with their sticks and blow the whistle to start the play. May the strongest center win. |

We will have a repeat of last year we will play him non stop to get him in to form even if it kills us. The monster was third star of the night for the NHL last night. |

He looked really uncomfortable especially when he was out of his net. That knee brace seemed to really hinder his movement outside the net. |

So you solution to Reimer's poor puck-handling skills is to put Scrivens back in the net? |

I hate this too, but believe they are being directed to try and discourage the face-off cheating. Lets face it, all player that have a high % success rate on the draws are cheating more often than not. I personally could not care less how they win the draw, with their stick, hand, foot, face. I just want them get the play going ffs. |

I agree with this. It takes linesman error out of it, but the purists who still think goalies should have two hands on the goal stick will be up in arms... |

To keep the tradition of dropping the puck, they can drop it at the start of every period. And for ceremonial purposes. But that's it. |

It was an honour just to be nominated.
And I got to go to the awards ceremony - meaning I paid my own way to go to a TGI Friday's in the suburbs of Philly, where we all ordered 4,000 calorie meals and waited around for a guy in a ski mask to show and hand out awards.
He didn't show. |

On a side note...so much for this so called hybrid no-touch icing. I think I saw it called once or twice in the first game of the season, but never again since. - p_zub
The NHL has never used hybrid icing. I wish they would, but they don't.
The AHL was using it but stopped when the lockout ended. |
