If JVR and Kessel are no longer clicking by the time Joffrey is back... maybe reunite Lupul with Phil?
JVR with Kadri and Frattij would be sick IMO. - Tee-Dot
I was thinking the same thing, but the problem is that Lupul has only played like 3 games in almost a year now. Might be better suited to start on 3rd line minutes for a couple of games. |

I want to know why Phaneuf was on the ice in overtime, and not in the box for fighting Cizakis.
WTF is wrong with our "captain"? |

I knew he would do well in Detroit. Hes better then Reimer and Scrivens but Burkie believed in Reimer after that half season where he played so well.... - LeafsFan1205
Makes it hard for most goalies in the NHL to have a great game or sometimes even just a good game when they sit on the bench 2-3 weeks at a time. Hard to prove yourself when you're rarely given the chance. |

True. You can't just come back after 6-7 weeks and expect to be top line playing top minutes. He'll need a few games to wrinkle out the kinks. Hopefully they'll have the same chemistry last season, and JVR Kadri and Frattin on the same line would be amazing! At least it looks good on paper any way! |

We have a very tough week coming up.
Hopefully Frattin is back. And maybe an upgrade at the 1C.
Devils at home, Sens at home, Bruins away, Pens at home.
If we win two of the four i'll be very happy. |

Nazeeeeem the dream.
I wonder if Phil is getting a bit envious of the new kid in town stealing his thunder.
The effort level of Kadri has been above and beyond just about anyone else on the team all season, but last night the dirty mits were on display.
Playing with Komarov and Mac and he's hands down the most effective player on the ice. |

I don't remember the exact numbers (me works IE doesn't like the site apparently) but according to sportsclubstats we have like a 90% chance of making the playoffs if we finish something like 13-11-2 or better. At 12 wins and some OTLs it's like 75%. That's a pretty big drop off. But basically playing at a clip about .500 from a points percentage standpoint (i.e. 28 of a possible 52 poings remaining) gives us a very strong chance of getting in.
That being said I know this site can be kind of wonky and changes frequently and I'm not even sure if they take into consideration that if you lose your are giving points to competition to other teams...still thought it was kind of interesting to note though.

I know, right?
Like, every single other captain has already dropped the gloves 5 times this season, and this guy won't even throw a hit |

I doubt it...Kessel's wondering how the hell Mac and Komarov get this guy as their centre and he's still stuck with Bozak. Sure, they're great buddies and they can still cuddle off the ice but really, Kadri has shown he deserves some more icetime, and playing with Kessel and JVR can potentially give a good overall 1st line... |

hahahah ya no doubt.
I think that without a doubt Kadri immediately makes both Kessel and JVR better...
but how bad does Bozak make Mac and Komarov line? |

That will be quicker than I thought as he still is in non contact status - sure hope so and he continues to score.
You guys probably talked about this last night, but what's the difference between the Finley hit on Komarov and the Brown hit the night before? Not much in my eyes, and I would think most Leaf fans would have no issue with the Finley hit as there should have been little issue with Browns. Oh well - all in the past. |

More ice time = Harder competition.
According to these numbers, he's one of the Leafs forwards who faced the easiest competition so far. Leave him where he is for now, it's working.

Correct. RC is using him wisely right now. Especially with the supporting cast he has.
On another note Marty...... wtf is it with those midgets of yours? They've been playing great. I thought after the 2nd leaf beating they would have folded like a cheap suit. |

Yes - pretty much what Carlyle said last night when he semi lost it on a reporter for asking the same question. He just scored 3 goals with 15 minutes ice time - why would we change that. |
