FYI that the NHL has rescinded the kneeing major to Flyers' Harry Zolnierczyk

Is Brownie next?

Well said. That's the one thing that has always pissed me off about Dustin Brown. The guy runs people over but refused to drop the gloves.

Phaneuf was running around the ice attempting to cause concussions on any Canadian he hit. He should have dropped the gloves and it would have invigorated the Leafs, as they were freaking stale as hell...

Victor Hedman tough?
- slashtrash

Vic's got about a foot on Kadri - I was just teasing about Neal - I would take him over a couple of our meatheads

#Leafs cannot play like they did on Wednesday and break their seven-season playoff drought

Howard is very insightful

And who was it that said "In order to win 2 games you have to win one"? Was it Brophy - can't remember.

If they lose to the Islanders are we back to tanking and trading Dionzie and Philzer?

Fair enough. How about challenging Prust later in the game?
- RedwingsAreKHL

If it got to 5-2 with 7-8 minutes left sure. Or in the 2nd period to get something going.

But score Was still 3-2 with 6 mins left in the 3rd. Just not good for you best Dman to be fighting there.

Especially when Orr and McClaren are both in the game.

EDIT: I'm not against your premise, there just wasn't a point in that game where it would have been a good move for the Leafs.

keep stoking the flames, bud.

leafs were full marks for the dominant 6-0 win a few weks ago but to actually imply the 5 minute major last night was the turning point? HAAAAAAAA! sour grapes.

- rob121

Not saying the Habs didn't deserve a point But for sure it really slowed down any momentum the leafs had - garbage call but hey gorges went in pretty hard and that's the way it goes - but the puck bounced over every leaf stick for the 1st 30 mins or so and right onto the Habs stick - not whining but I'm sure you seen the bounces and they weren't all from the Habs hard work ( some were for sure ) good come back game for the Habs - hopefully next game the teams score some pretty ones instead of pretty flukes ones. Imo

Should Phaneuf be fighting Prust or guys like Prust every single game? No.

Would it kill him to do it every once in awhile when his team is playing like crap? No.

Phaneuf shouldn't make a whole career of fighting Prust but he can't pick and choose every single guy he fights either. Phaneuf can't fight ballerinas and stay away from the real tough guys if Phaneuf expects to be as tough as he tries to appear.

I"ll agree Kadri is likely willing to fight a lot of guys. It's just not a very good idea in a lot of cases. He's likely to get killed.

I'm not so sure - I hope Reimer takes the ball and runs but I think Scrivens will turn out to be the better tender especially with his puck skills it really helps our inexperienced D if that makes sense.
- Garnie

A goalie who plays the puck well will help out any D... He was pretty shaky playing the puck before last night so im not convinced yet, he isn't Carey Price good thats for sure. Leafs need to keep all the shots to the outside to be successful. So if he could control those rebounds a little better it would go a long way. I think Reimer is better but its really hard to say right now.

I think I clearly said Kadri would lose to Neil, my only point is/was that Kadri isn't exactly the shy type about fighting.

In all honesty though, we should trade every player we have that isn't willing to take a 2min penalty to energize his team when were down a goal.

Not going to argue on that.

no better way to get back in the game than to sit in the box for 2minutes or less.
