This although it should have been a minor. I dont think that anyone can argue that the leafs lost because of it.

A 5 minute major in a 1-1 tie that we had killed off successfully for 4:30...

I'm not saying the Leafs played great, but there's no doubting that was the turning point in the game.

I thought the Lefs did a good job of weathering the storm. Sure, they gave up the one goal on the 5 min. major, but on fresh ice, it could have been a lot worse. The Leafs didn't look great all night, but had the game tied. That blown puck-drop is what killed the Leafs. Mistakes like that by referees/linesmen are inexcusable.

In the end, the Leafs didn't really deserve to win that game, but they didn't deserve to lose it the way they did. Toronto was lucky to still be in the game mid-way through the third, but Montreal got the lucky break that won them the game.

Any word on when Gorges' funeral is going to be?

I really hope they get Celine Dion to sing the Power of Love.

It would be a beautiful final send off.

The turning point was the opening faceoff. It wasnt close just like the last game wasnt close.

The trainers quickly infused Gorges with some of Pacioretty blood, and he healed up in no time.

In the NHl, you can whine your way to more favorable officiating, apparently.

This goes hand in hand with the "make up call" mentality that permeates the leagues.

The shots and play were so lopsided it was only a matter of time till the habs won the game. I never thought the habs would lose.

IF JVR was the Centerman, I don't think he ends up needing to take a break before the linesman drops the puck.

Whoever that leaf guy was needs to work on his cardio.

That explains how Gorges was able to skate at break-neck speed in the third period.

the refs had nothing to do with that loss last night.. We were just grossly outplayed.. Should have been even more lopsided but for some nice goaltending early on by Scrivens.. Only complaint I have is those linesmen. Night after night game after game (not just leaf games) they have such issues with dropping the darn puck.. Do they want the lime light that bad?
