anyone read c'mon ref.

kerry states that the leafs were fouled last in the brown hit (should've been 5 minutes nly) and in the bozak faceoff debacle (play should be called dead and redone)

it would of been a diffrent game if it wasn't for those moment in the game last night.

I thought Mac had a decent game last night, one of the few Leafs that did...he's been playing well lately, but i've always liked Mac even though I do see how Frattin could fill his role when he gets back. I just love Mac's jam and the fact he doesn't back down and goes to the dirty areas.

Except for D'Amigo.
- Atomic Wedgie

D'Amigo reminds me a little of Rocky Saganiuk...skates a thousand miles an hour all over the place but rarley does anything.

Come on, the Leafs played like poop.

We didn't deserve that win. Maybe we'll go on a Montreal-like tear now that they got a kick in the ass.

You harp on D'Amigo all the time, how many games have you actually paid attention to him on the ice?

He works hard and is good defensively, he will be no more than a third liner if he makes it, let the hate go Wedgie.

- LeafMan

To be perfectly honest, I couldn't pick D'Amigo out of a police line-up.

I couldn't tell you the first thing about him. I have watched a couple of Marlies games on TV this year, and although I didn't notice D'Amigo, I didn't notice him doing anything stupid, either.

When I rip on D'Amigo, it's nothing personal against D'Amigo.

It's more of a dig at Leafs Kool-aid drinkers, who projected this guy as an NHL star because he scored 2 goals in a WJC 17 years ago

he's trolling Wedgie
- faceto27

It was a question proposed on hockeycentral. Most think he should have fought prust. I was simply asking you guys the same question. Then you call me a troll? Get a life pal.

Not even close to a comparison, imo. Saganiuk couldn't find his own teams end of the ice if his life depended on it.

Dion Phaneuf - the Leafs' best defenceman - suckered a Habs 4th liner into staying in the Leafs' end on a 5 minute powerplay, forcing the Habs to regroup instead of rushing the puck back into the zone.

If Phaneuf fights, he's off for about 4 minutes of a 5 minute major penalty kill.

Seriously, why are we having this discussion?

Phaneuf did the right thing.

Period.

- Atomic Wedgie

Phaneuf shouldn't have fought him right then and there but a little later on, he should have done something to spark the team. If that meant beating the hell out of Prust at another time, then so be it. But the Leafs were, as Carlyle said, flat and it's Phaneuf's job as a leader to do something to wake the team up. That's what leadership is. Leading by example. Phaneuf doesn't do that. In fact, when the Leafs play bad, he's usually the one leading the charge of bad play.

Phaneuf, instead of sparking his team, did the complete opposite. He was trying to land a big hit all game and missed every single one putting himself out of position. The simplest of passes turned into turnovers or giveaways that ended up in the back of the net.

The Leafs beat the hell out of the Habs last time but this time, they lost without a fight, both figuratively and literally. Consistently inconsistent.

I don't think he should have fought him on the PK as I stated earlier.. But take a run a someone and fight whoever comes at him.. If its prust then so be it.. All I'm saying is that he should show more emotion because he's their leader.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

Komisarek should have fought Prust last night...came down out of the pressbox and jumped him after the first period on the way to the dressing room. That would get Carlyle's attention - show us he's still a team guy. Do you have to pay a player if he's in jail on assault charges?

I'm still bitter about Toronto not trying to grab Hodgson when his stock was at all-time low. He's going to turn into a very good 2nd line Centre.

How often do leaders fight nobodies?

It's a terrible trade-off at any point in the game.

shut your pie hole, you ask a question from hockeycentral, and then be a douche bag nozzle about the reply's? Go sit on Kypreos lap ...

dumb questions get dumb answers

more so, ones that people can't be original and come up with on their own..

what next you gonna ask some stupid question from a Cox or Simmons article?

dry your eyes

guy looked good in his rookie NCAA season. Give him some time, he could be a perfect 3rd liner, strong shut-down player who can put up points.

Leafs lost mostly because brown was ejected.. They were outplayed but they lost cuz they were afraid of prust.. Dion let them down last night IMO.

That's the funny part about this.

If Phaneuf beats the hell out of Prust, everybody rejoices and basks in the glory of manliness and toughness that Alphaneuf exudes.

But if he doesn't, he's smart because Prust is a nobody.

And then you whine that Phaneuf is a selfish douche who is more concerned with fighting his personal battles than the good of the team.

Hodgson's stock was never that low. They had to give up Kassian to get him. The Leafs would have had to give up at least Kadri and maybe more considering that the Canucks were desperately looking for the type of player that Kassian is.
