Kadri is no longer a liability in his own zone, he has probably been the best centre in getting the puck out of the zone and supporting the D.
- LeafMan

Never said he was bad, but he still does make some dumb turnovers in the neutral zone, and with Kessel on your line he likes to cheat on offense quite a bit...could lead to some odd man rushes. That being said, i'm all for trying Kadri out with Kessel/JVR. I also can't wait until Lupul and Frattin get back, both players like to get into the corners and always compete hard, something Toronto is starting to lack just a little bit.

Toronto has to come out skating tonight, if they don't, we'll see a repeat of yesterdays game. They can't take NYI lightly, they have some very nice top end skill and will bury the puck if given the chance.
- blahman20

If they come out flat again, I have a feeling it will be a very difficult weekend for them.

Carlyle will have the puke buckets out at center ice.

Agreed again...I'd love to see Kadri get a chance on the top line, just to provide some creativity out there for Kessel and JVR. I know Carlyle is worried about that lines D if he were to put Kadri with Kessel.

Couldn't be any worse than last night.

Do the Leafs have a new goal song? And what is it? I couldn't really hear it the last few home games so I'm being honest here, has it changed or is it still The Whip by Locksley?

I golfed with Deon last summer here in PEI
Nice guy

However if your going to run all over the Ice hitting people you have to answer the Bell
It's not all about 5 minutes and last night's game its about the next 30 games

He picked up his stick and handed Prust his glove

And Prust would have got the extra time as the instigator

Even Toews took on Thronton giving up 3" and 30 lbs

Deon......WTF

- PEIHawkFan

You guys take your golfing seriously on the Island. BTW, your buddy's name is Dion.

I don't know how many more times I can take Grabovski serving up freebies up the middle in our own zone.

Kadri has been the one consistent player that is making things happen every game. Last night he was really the only guy that was able to effectively carry/move the puck through the neutral zone to start some attempt at offensive pressure.

The issue with him is, is he ready to be facing the opposition's top D pairings? I think you have to give him the chance at the very least.

Don't jump on me for this but I would give a line of Komarov, Kadri, Kessel a shot...Komarov has plenty of centre experience and has shown to be pretty good on the draw, so use him for the defensive zone face-offs. Also can create some space with his speed and physicality, while Kadri feeds a wide open Kessel for the snipe.

Agree with the first part all the way... but gonna have to jump on last part a bit.. your points aren't so bad, but I'd really like to stay away from the Domi on the first line project again.

kadri was a lone bright spot last night and I don't think it would hurt to atleast give him a shot on the top line

Agreed 100%...We know he's never going to be lighting guys up or going into the corners REALLY hard, but for gods sake AT LEAST compete for the puck a long the wall. With his speed he should be winning nearly ever foot race for pucks, yet he shys away from making the initial contact always.
- blahman20

Exactly, and with his speed, the hits he recieves he will just run right through. I mean if you see big Chara coming, well then I might have a second thoughts, but even still, use that speed and just fly through people.

The real reason I suggested Komarov was to provide some back-up faceoff support. I have not looked at his stats, but I can't remember seeing him loose too many when he was called upon. Many of the draws I remember him winning were clean wins too.

Yeah those Canucks fans have had a rude awakening... that team is going no where fast. They need to fire the coach and trade a few players to right the ship.

oh please. he has done it before.. skates hard into the middle, takes the bump, and fires from a better angle

i am not saying he should dive into the front of the net scrums.. just stop shooting from the side boards constantly

when he cuts to the middle he is more effective.. but he's going to get bumped

Jesus Christ. Did you even ready what you wrote. Holy crap.

Toews fought Thornton who both happen to be #1 centres. Do not compare that to dion and Prust. Pure stupidity. Why would phanuef take himself out for 5mins for a scrub? Prust declined 3 other invites, but yet dion doesn't want to fight a guy 5 level below him while on a 5min pk and he's a wussy.

Pure stupidity.

Next time Crosby doesn't try to fight Rinaldo while he's on the pp will his leadership be called into question?

I agree with this Bruce, but I am still wondering if this is a result of him being intimidated/lack of confidence, or coaching telling to use his speed on the outside.

Inside/outside, I don't care. I just want him to use his speed
