If you're cute then yeah you'll do well. If you are good at it you'll gather a strong book. Best massage I ever had was from a 60 yr old prison guard with forearms like steel bars. Sounds dirty but he was super professional and the only one who could make a dent in my scar tissue.

It's always about money. His Father's comments were very telling. The holdout would definitely make me question his character if I was Feaster.
- MJL

I had heard something about him being upset over the captaincy. Maybe it equates to dollars, anyway. Rumor mill stuffs, though. Either way, I have a hard time being enthused over a young player playing hard to get, definite character questions.

Calgary kind of reminds me of the Flyers in that they want to go for it every year and not worry about the future as much as the current team, but they aren't as good at it as the Flyers.

IMHO a bad move by the flames today. That is a hefty cap hit to pay and O'Rielly will be able to leverage it for his next paycheck. They are also probably giving up a good first rounder.

4.5 may not have gotten it done but it would have been the most I would have paid for that player in general.

Glad that wasn't the Flyers

More likely Feaster reeks of kielbasa and sauerkraut.

The compensation is indeed a 1st & 3rd under the new CBA, under the old, my previous post would have been correct (1st, 2nd, & 3rd)

That's an awful signing by Calgary. They're getting a very good young player in O'Reilly. He's strong defensively, and should be capable of 20 goals+ in an 82 game year, since he'll be the top line center in Calgary.

That said, I wouldn't be amazed if they end up with a top five pick headed to Colorado. If the Avs can turn that pick into Drouin, MacKinon, Jones or Barkov, the Flames will be screwed.

A final kicker? O'Reily will be a UFA at the end of the contract.

Feaster is a buffoon. This move might tie him with Howson.

The sad thing is, I wouldn't be amazed if Colorado matched. The return they wanted for O'Reilly was higher than a 1st & 3rd.

I'm pretty sure O'Reilly will be an RFA, not a UFA at the end of the contract. He's 22 and the deal is for 2 years. And he will have 5 Accrued Seasons.

The best part for me? If O'Reilly even comes close to becoming a true #1 center the Flames will need to give him another raise.

seriously? When it's Calgary's 1st I'd be plenty happy. Not to mention the incredible odds of either losing him in a year or paying way too much to keep him.

Who can we offer Feaster outside of Couturier for that 1st and 3rd?

He will still be RFA as per NHL Network and maybe they wanted more but CLG 1st will be in the top 5 (probably) and they don't have ot pay that absurd cap hit forcing them to trade Statsny.

Calgary could make a playoff push and finish just out of the dance, then you're getting the 14th pick...still good, but not getting Drouin.

Still if it's me, I wait until the last second and then decline to match.
