We're all experiencing Stockholm Syndrome. We love Pitbull, and McDonald's Extreme Fish McBites. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go buy a car from our Founding Fathers before their next recording session.

I need to start watching the games an hour after they start so I can skip the commercials.

But then you wouldn't get up to date peanut gallery comments from us! And now that would be a true tragedy...

Taking on Gagne and his salary, was the Flyers choice. They were not forced to do so. So why should that lessen the value from LA's point of view? And LA could take on well over 30M in Cap hits at the trade deadline even before trading Gagne. And you still want to beleive that it was a Cap deal for LA? LA simply did a veteran player a solid and decided to move him for whatever they could get, because he was apparently no longer in their plans.

Sure his Cap hit matters to St. Louis. They have a bunch of players that need to re-signed. Big difference between taking on an expiring deal, which the Flyers did with gagne. Versus taking on a player like Briere, with another year left at 6.5M. That would definitely be a factor with St. Louis future Cap situation.

Gagne didn't look like damaged goods last night. And again, Gagne's deal is done after this Season. What risk is there to the Flyers?

There is a huge conflict in your assessment of each deal. And clearly I'm looking at the complete picture. Which involves the Cap ramifications, as well as the practical application of the deals, and how reasonable it is.

Briere has two more years. While I don't see St. Louis just dumping Shattenkirk for Briere, I do think Briere making a collective 5 million over the last two years of the deal could make him attractive to a team that needs a center who has plenty of cap space.

I guess he didn't hang out with Richards and Carter enough out west.

Pitbull is an amazing artist and has built quite a brand. Plus, no one fist pumps better.

Please show some respect.

That and his playoff predigree gives him some value on the trade market. But as you said, not getting Shattenkirk for him. Not without includng something else more then a 1st round pick. Thanks for the correction on Briere's deal.

Did you read the Bruins blog from yesterday?
Briere for Boychuk + pick/prospect?

Can you imagine Briere and his point a game post season on Boston?
They'd win another Cup I think.

Makes me sick to think about, but that is a solid offer.

Although Boychuk is more or less what they have an excess in on D already, with L Schenn, Grossmann, and Coburn.

I think Gagne and Couts are going to be good for each other, if gagne stays healthy.

Oh, Danny boy, the Blues, the Blues are calling
From rink to rink, and by the net mouth's side
The season's gone, and all the GMs are phoning
