So if he got hurt, Coyle should get 5 games?

Yep, the crime fits the punishment sideburns.

JBo i still struggle with his "defense" man can't move a 5 year old in front of the net but Stajan is actually impressing me. Still not 3.5 mill impressing but I no longer include him as the throw in on BS trade suggestions...
- geta02it

At this point I would keep JBO over Gio.

So Hall should get at least 3 more games since Clutterbuck will miss at least 6?

While the Wild were not the best team in the first period, they were clearly not 'just as bad' a team as Calgary in the 2nd and 3rd. In the game, we had a goal taken away by an inch, hit two posts, and peppered a netminder that played very well. We didn't even ALLOW A SHOT on your 5 min major. Domination. Outshot the Flames 30-21. Coyle was looking for the chin, but IMO didn't connect. Stajan played the entire 3rd. Coyle will get slapped on the wrist.

One thing about Flames fans, we are probably the most objective on HB as to the status of the team and honest about performance. NO illusions of grandeur here!

You my friend have the Wild Rose coloured glasses on.

*The Wild are just as bad as the Flames.
* Had a goal taken away.... it wasn't a goal, just a bad call by the ref
*You hit 2 posts.... wow. We missed 2 breakaways against, yes a goalie who played very well.
*Wild Outshot Flames 31-21..... that always happens when one team has a lead and the other is pressing.... always happens
*The Flames Powerplay sucked, no question and I will give your Killers credit for that one

2 mediocre teams playing mediocre hockey

New topic because this one is painful (unless al pipes up on the Hall thing)
Okay... so Kipper returns next week and MacDonald plays lights out before then.... Do you start Kipper his first chance back? Next one... If Kipper struggles....

As long as Kipper is healthy I don't think we see McDonald untill a B2B comes up.

Yep or more. I think a ggod punishment would be when Cluterbuck is back so is Hall. Eveluated by an independent Doc of course. Maybe player's would be more accountable for their actions.

I think when he's cleared, you play him.

But I wouldn't be surprised to see Joey Mac in for the game after. Let Kipper play more of a regular schedule (2-3 times per week) for a few weeks to make sure he doesn't re-injure himself.

We could lose 7-0 in Kipper's first game back and I'd play him the next day. I will be one of those fans in 20 years shouting "put kipper in!!!" at the digital neon 4D tv I own.

So next question, do we play him to move up the standings or increase his value? Is Kipper getting moved this year? I know rhetorical but is this team playoff bound?

MacDonald continues to play well, Ramo comes back earlier than expected after his team loses in the playoffs despite playing well, and Kipper is traded.

That is all I ask for.

I think we should keep JBO and Stajan now. Both playing great IMO.

*ducks and hides for cover*

For a team looking like it will miss the playoffs for the 4th year in a row, not one veteran should be untouchable. If those 2 bring back the best return then you trade them.

I don't think he'll get suspended, just because Stajan came back. I could see a fine though.
- jtommyt

Bullpoop IMO. Injury should have very little to do with suspension. If someone pulls a Marty McSorley or Todd Bertuzzi, do we make it less of a penalty because Moore/Brashear finished the game.

With that being said 2 games for targeting the head.

Question as I had to watch the paint dry yesterday. When did the hit occur and what was the on ice call?

Yeah you better duck!
Actually, JBO still isn worth the 6.68mill cap hit but teams like detroit & maybe even Ottawa could give us a pretty dang good healthy return & they would live with his cap hit next year. Stajan, yeah, he's paid properly now even though I dont like the 3.5mill cap hit. 1 year, who cares eh.

You can see it one page back. 5min penalty and Calgary couldn't muster 1 fcking shot.

The problem is the NHL has no degree of consistency. This isn't an elbow or from behind. It'll confuse Shanahan and he'll add some other bad sound effects to his video response and it'll be a fine...
