Wasn't really til March when they started to move problem players though. Staios, Grebs, Lubo.

They were out of the playoff picture before that, just think it was evident to the team well before the trade deadline, the deadline was march 3rd that year so pretty sure they waited till the deadline to get the highest value for them. Either way just a little over 3 years, you are pretty close lahey, don't get yer Joe Boxer's in a bunch

To answer the O-G. pretty much over then the team improves in the standings by a huge jump (at least 10 places) are close to or maybe even squeak into the playoffs, and they show that their core of young players is ready to lead the team. But that also depends on what your idea of a rebuild is and what model you are using.

11-12 Rebuild
12-13 Transition
13-14 Transition+
14-15 Done Rebuild
15-16 Tinker

Rebuild= Get rid of bad contracts, gather prospects. Identify your core.

Transition= Make minor moves, wait for prospects to develop. Identify your core.

Transition+= Same as above but look at moving a bigger name or two in order to balance team

Done Rebuild= See what you got, try make improvements that don't disrupt your core

Tinker= Do the PHI, if you haven't won make the hard trades.
