Yeah, it's unfortunate. Especially because hockey can be such an exciting game, but that slow paced defensive struggle 2 - 1, 3 - 2 games are pretty much all Wild fans have ever known. Loved Lemaire, but he knew how to grind out those defensive battles much to the shagrin of the fans.

Hopefully once these young guys the Wild have coming in develop more, the offensive game will come. Hopefully... *wishful thinking*

I think Granlund is going to be awesome. I just hope his brother turns out better.

Those are my feelings. My balls come out with me and go on adventures about town.

Russo's an idiot. I can't stand that guy.

Why? He's usually the Wild's biggest critic. But as far as no consequences? Not even a fine? I can buy the story that he wasn't targeting the head, and from what I've seen so far of Coyle I do believe it, and it doesn't appear to be malicious intent, but hits to the head whether intentional or not need to be dealt with in a uniform manner. Obviously there might be a few rare exceptions but this should not have been one of them IMO.

Pierre Marc Bouchard got a 2 game suspension last season for a high stick to the head of Matt Calvert and Calvert lifted Bouchards stick into his own face. That was not intentional and he was not targeting the head. So the explanation in Coyles case makes no sense to me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not mad that Coyle is not getting suspended, but he's being spared for some reason.

explain otherwise, and don't use that (frank)ing brain dead scoots arguement about how trading Smyth was the sign of a rebuild, because that's beyond (frank)ing stupid, but what can you expect from someone so short on brain power

As much as you might dislike him he is correct. They should've started sooner, but they didn't.

Shouldn't they be trading or selling players then? Or does being super poopty and getting first overall draft picks the only thing required to officially count a year as "rebuilding"

No way! It started in 07 but Oiler management only realized it 3 years ago.

the year after we made game 7 of the stanley cup finals??? yea i would disagree...... pretty sure not a single team in any sport in the world went into a rebuild the following year after being one win away from winning it all

Hope so. Don't like him centering the 4th line though. He should be in Houston developing IMO. His brother should be pretty good, not quite as skilled but still pretty good. I was half hoping the Wild would draft him.

ST started once he drafted Hall. It should've been from the day Pronger left, but they thought they could get Heatley or Hossa or Nylander or whoever to come and fix the problem. Signing Bulin wasn't a move a rebuilding team does.

To be honest it's not really a move anyone should've done, but that's a whole different ball of poop.
